What the heck?!?!

This is the first time I've got on in a while and suddenly nearly all my gems are gone! Has there been hackers around here lately? Cuz frankly I'm *bleep*ed! I was nearly to 10 thousand! Did I do something that the moderators are punishing me for? Sorry for ranting but Can anyone help me?

I doubt "hackers" would come just to change your gem count.

I reset the gems system a long time back, so it could have been that. Otherwise, you must have posted in the spam forum or given gems to someone because its not a system issue.

Gems cause trouble sometimes with members who want to compete for the highest gem amount.

I believe their purpose was to make the forum more Spyro-ish.

I do miss the rankings though. I think if they came back, a new system would work better. SR or a mod could decide when you be upgraded instead of post count.

Then SR needs to apoint more mods if that's true.

As for rankings, if members began to look down on newer members, they would be downgraded.

I can also see the mods getting bugged/harassed by members who'd like to "level up" if you will. Mods aren't perfect people, either, and I'll bet some of them might be inclined to show favoritism toward their friends. [/sub]

We used to have a "school forum" for our school. (phpBB 1) I'm an admin there because I'm the only one who can use the panel. There is an autorank option there and it can be set on how many posts you have.

As I said before, your spyroforum account is NOT valuable enough for people to try and keylog you to get.

Its a lot of work for nothing, since accounts can easily be recovered in the case of unauthorized access. All it takes is an email.

If you can prove to me it wasn't you, accoutns can be recovered.

I've been 99.244.31.XXX since I came here, with the exception of using my school computer, a few posts on my cousin's computer and on my dad's portable internet.
