The fight between new and old spyro

Enter the dragonfly is soooooo annoying!!!! I cant finish it, its hard, and i have 77 dragonflies!!! The only thing I like about is that the levels are pretty!! tongue I just bought it 'cause of Spyro!!!!!! hmm

I actually DID enjoy ETD and AHT when I played em', but ETD got too glitchy, and I got bored of AHT after a while. ANB and TEN were much the same. Happens with every game I get (but I won't deny T.L.o.S caught my gaming attention for a lot longer wink ). Now I play it for the cutscenes.

Thats the same with me. Only i liked ANB the first time i played it and i havent played TEN yet.

True, the cutscenes are great!!! big_smile But you are right, when you finish a game a few times, it kinda gets boring...:/

Yep, even i enjoyed ANB for around the first 1-2 hours!

I know the trick to making ANB and TEN not so repetitive. If you alternate elements and kick the monkeys off the edge instead of meleeing them once you've knocked them in the air, it makes it a little less of "press the circle button over and over until you beat the game. It's also fun to use your triangle attack things, like Comet Dash, or level up your breaths and use them. (Sorry, I only know the buttons for the PS2 versions.)

The easiest way to kill monkeys in ANB is to freeze them into balls and push them 'offa stuff!!! SO FUN, especially in the volcanoe!!!

True...about finding new combos....but it gets fun in the old games when spyro gets his breath powered up into the super shot forever...Sniping rabbits and enemies is always fun.

The fact is, they ARE supposed to be the same series, otherwise iyt wouldn't have the Spyro logo, not to mention that This forum here isn't a forum for 2 different series, its for one. We compare and "bash" because technically TLOS wiped out the old Series, you dont see the old timeline and the new timeline continueing like they are 2 different series, do you?

So again, time for the statement bash:
-"The Original Spyro and TLOS Spyro are 2 different Series, they shouldn't be compared": No! They are! Otherwise they wouldn't have ther same logo, and the old Spyro wouldn't of needed to discontinue because they are "2 different series". they are MEANT to be similar, otherwise they would of just created a whole new logo and series. I KNOW IT WAS A REBOOT, A NEW STORY AND NEW CHARACTER but that does NOT mean we can not compare. "Why did this reboot need to happen if the games were worse?" we say, ok?

Please, give some propper argument

PS: Even if they were 2 different series, lets just immagine for DragonWithinme's sake that we are arguing like if we're arguing about something like "what is better, sonic or Mario"?

PS: No matter how many ways there are to kill the monkeys, its still repetative.

IN any of the older games do you see a single female dragon(In year of the dragon i didnt see a sigle female dragon so i thought it was kinda wrong on how they got the eggs...and i still dont think i want to know till this day) ? Does both new and old version have to go threw portals? Is the story the same (as in does the whole world being save completely in each game)?

Yes i will admit they are going to reuse Hunter, and the fact that he is from Avalar, but do you seriously think he is going to be as forgetfull, anoying, and giving you things all the time once you beat him tho he should give them to you to begin with?

If you mean by timeline willthen no, they arn't related, its a whole new timeline, but you have to admit that it IS the same franchise!
They should be compared because they are all video games and are from the same franchise.... But reguardless if they Should be compared, this topic is made for them to be compared so get off my back.

Doppel: Dont say that you agree but you do compare the games as well.

-WRONG! I'm not bias, but I do have an opinion, everyone has an opinion on a matter (unless they dont even care) .
If i was bias i'd be trying to find ways to say that the story in TLOS Sucks (which it doesn't) and I wouldn't even bother playing any TLOS game. I wouldn't say the good and bad points of TLOS (just say the bad points) etc
I'm NOT biased, otherwise i would of given my TEN review a 1 and my Original Spyro reviews a 10.

Because they own it and they can do anything with it.

Like the Need for Speed series.

I like the original Underground and Underground 2, but they replaced it with action type police chases in Most Wanted and Carbon. Loved that.

Then came Prostreet. A reboot. IT SUCKED A**. But I just ignored the release.
