Re: You LUCKY LUCKY Americans!

In the UK we get from mid-July to the beginning of September, way less than the Americans...... We get just over a week for Christmas (Usually from like the 20th of December to the 5th of January or something) and for Easter we only get about 2 weeks as well. We get half terms as well, but these only last a week or less.

Re: You LUCKY LUCKY Americans!

In colorado, they are shortening summer every year...*bleep*ing me off. Plus also they have been giving us read projects over the summer, this year im reading a book i want to and not "Their" crappy books they have had us read each year. Haven started a book im going to do for the project yet...might not even do it because my excuse is,
1. im not in school so i have no work to do.
2. The assinment was assign last year as a sophomore, im a up a grade level now so im not going to do it.
3. I have a life, adn id like to be able to enjoy it while i can during my summer instead of doing a book report when i have a few moths to breath after all the homework you shove down our throughts the whole year...

Re: You LUCKY LUCKY Americans!

I'm in collage so we get no crap like that. You don't have to do your homework, its your life so the teachers don't care. Collage is waay different to school:
1. NO SCHOOL UNIFORM!!
2. You call the teachers by their first names
3. You get free periods
4. Lessons are differnt lengths on different days, unlike school where each is lesson  everyday is an hour long or something.
5. You generally get more freedom
6. No bells to signal the end of each lesson or lunch etc
7. Harder work (no duh)
8. LONGER HOLIDAYS!!

Re: You LUCKY LUCKY Americans!

Ehehehe..... Most of mine are loons. We have been watching a documentary on the Galapagos Islands for Biology and my teacher was doing Blue-footed Boobie courtship dance impressions rofl! It was well funny! I'm just glad she didn't do an impression of Frigate Bird Courtship rituals, anyone who wants to see what I mean, look on YouTube!
