"Console War"
Which one will win the console war?
In my opinion the PS3 for the win...
The Wii will go for 2nd place.
I don't talk about Xbox, since I hate it.

Re: "Console War"
Yes. It's good system. And the price is fair.
The PS3 price is fair, just because it is a Blu-ray reader (since Blu-ray costs 800€).
Xbox already lost the battle, because it is possible to copy Xbox games. Wii it isn't. PS3 it isn't... until now.

Re: "Console War"
Yes I can buy a PC with blu-ray reader/writer... but with that money I would buy 2 PS3s...
And if you buy a PS3 you have a next-gen console ^^

Re: "Console War"
The Xbox 360 is my favorite of the consoles. I admire the Wii's original gaming concepts, but I can get tired of swinging the controller around pretty quickly! Sometimes I wish I can just play a normal game. The PS3 feels half-a**ed. The online service, game selection, and backwards-compatibility all feel half-a**ed. The main thing the PS3 has going for it is the graphics. The Xbox 360 has a great game selection and superior online service. Kudos to the Wii online service too!=)

Re: "Console War"
Maybe, but there still needs to be something that should interest me in the other consoles first before I consider approaching them. That's why I'm going to be stuck with a PS2 and a set of handhelds for a little while longer.
My brother wants an XBox 360. I do appreciate that having a great advantage when it comes to processing power, but just like its predecessor I want the XBox range to sound less like a "PC gamer console" and more like something that can adapt to a wider audience.
The PS3 sounds good, but there's none of the games on there save for Ratchet & Clank Future that actually interest me at the moment. Add to its ridiculously steep price tag and its *bleep* poor backwards compatability (I'm a European gamer), and there's no way I'd be getting one sometime soon unless they REALLY beef up the hardware.
I thought the Wii seems to have some games that could seem interesting as well as a very fluent control scheme. But if I need one of those, I need to make sure that 1 - they don't constantly inflate Mario thinking he's the best weapon they've got, and 2 - the hardware itself sounds fluent enough in practice as it is on paper.

Re: "Console War"
Note to people interested in the Wii:
You WILL have trouble for the first couple times you use it! The motion sensing controls take a little getting used to, especially if you are very jaded with a normal controller (like me ). Do not despair, you will get used to controls!
Just a friendly tip from your friendly neighbor!=)

Re: "Console War"
I don't own one yet, but when they actually get more wiis in stock here, i will buy one and try it out.
Probally will take some learning curve.
I still think psp should be added to the list.

Re: "Console War"
Big shock to some people, but despite the ridiculous cost of Blu-Ray, it doesn't look all that much better! Maybe only 10% better, but that is not a big difference for the money!

Re: "Console War"
Spyrorocks... I'm only doing the "next-gen" console war.
Yeah Rexy, we, european gamers are "doomed" because of the backwards compatibility. I don't have any problems since I have a PS1 and a PS2.
Yeah yeah, Burninator, tell me stories. Wanna know why Xbox has more games? It was released in 2005. And the PS3 Online service is free. I think the PS3's processor is a powerfull beast, but it's really hard to "use it". Do you know Warhawk??? Just look at the clouds... They are created bye the Cell (CPU), not RSX (GPU). That means... Cell is a great processor. And the Xbox's DVD reader is old-gen... The games with those graphics need space, very space.
