Re: Religion
How devout are all of you, like how much do you know about your faith, and how much praying/church-going do you do?
I'm a Roman Catholic, and I love comparing and contrasting my religion with others.

Re: Religion
Ž · Just a question guys... I don't know the exact difference between Catholic and Christian... come on. I'm Catholic, as most call it. But I don't really know the difference of Christian and Catholic. The Philippines is the light of Christianity in Asia, but the most accepted religion here is Catholic!

Catholicism is a type of Christianity. All the other kinds: Lutheran, Baptist, and others, are Protestant.

Re: Religion
To be a Christian means you believe in Jesus and his teachings, and you live by them - like treating others how you'd want to be treated, praying, and looking forward to heaven. It simply means Christ is your idol and savior. Then you can get more specific with a Catholic Religion (Roman catholic, anglican, episcopalian) or a Protestant Religion (Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran) ... as long as you say Jesus is who saves you, and you love him, and know he loves you, and you will try to live the way he says to, then you are a Christian, but if you want to be more specific, you should choose a religion, a religion is simply a way of interperting the bible, some say God is kind, others say he isn't, some say we should honor Jesus's mom, others say we shouldn't, etc., etc. ... depending on what you think the Bible (our holy book...the words of God and teachings of Jesus) is really saying, is what you should choose for a religion. Every religion claims the bible is telling us to do/think a certain way, it is up to you to decide which religion is properly telling you what the bible says, and attend that religion's church.

Re: Religion
Correct. It is best to learn about quite a few diffrent religions then pick your choice. We all do have a choice....
(But, whats weird is in the Bible, Jesus says that everyone has a choice, but then he has planned out your life for you. Thats not much of a choice if he has already mad eit for you is it? What ever...)

ROFL there are more things that are weird on the bible, come on. We just live by it, and it's just s*** because sometimes I get confused and I don't really understand it.

Re: Religion
But also in the bible, it says that our minds cannot begin to understand some things.
Here is an example, try to picture nothingness. Do you see black? Black is something. Do you see white? White is something. Do you see gray? Gray is something...
Its one of thoes things that we just cant do.

Re: Religion
With those kinds of things you just have to accept that you can't understand it and stop thinking so hard about it.

Re: Religion
Ž · Not everyone here is Christian, just most of them.
The bible will really state about the weakness of our minds, trust me. We really have to accept what is written there, because they are 99.9% TRUE. Like it or not, it's real. Most of the time I don't like it, but I gotta agree with it, making me to like it.
