Which is the BETTER Game Console?

PS3. I hate XBox 360 as well. I don't mind the Wii, but the PS3's graphics.... Are just too amazing.
And PS3 is region free. Which makes it way more awesome.

i prefer to play kinda fun and colourful games, so the wii is for me, if i had the money id buy a PS3, if only to play PS2 games like ratchet and clank and stuff, i cant think of any PS3 games that appeal to me right now

At the Playstation 3â€™s launch, the XBOX 360 had a 1 year head-start, and had such titles as Gears of War, PGR3, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, F.E.A.R., Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Dead Rising, Burnout Revenge, Fight Night 3, and Rainbow Six: Vegas, all of which which were either titles exclusive to the 360, or werenâ€™t made available on the PS3 until some time in 2007.

Now we can look at nearly an entire year of exclusive releases for each console, and compare them on an even playing field. I took all the games that were released after November 20, 2006, and found their overall scores on GameRankings. Scores over 80% were highlighted in green, as â€˜very good gamesâ€™ (contrary to some, I think a score of 80% is pretty good). Also, contenders for Overall Game of the Year were highlighted as some of the BEST games for ANY console. In other words, people will want to buy the console just to play these games.

As you can see, there were a lot more GOOD games for the 360 in the past year. While the PS3 had some games that squeaked into the 80% bracket, and one or two really good games like Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank, overall it has been a mediocre year for Playstation 3. Many were looking forward to titles like Heavenly Sword and Lair to make a statement, but those games pretty much fell flat on their faces (especially Lair, a total failure).

XBOX 360 on the other hand saw some excellent titles, including some that may be considered among the best games for any console, such as Halo 3, BioShock, and Mass Effect.

So for game selection, XBOX 360 not only offers a better experience with multiplatform games, but their exclusive titles are more often better than those on PS3, and in some cases extremely good.

The 360 did have a one year head-start, but it seemed to be rushed. The cooling system is inadequate.

They seemed to have fixed the problem with the xbox360 elite.I can play for as long as I want unlike the preneuim which would overheat after 4 hours of play.

The 360 had a one year head start. Of course it has had better games. Compare the 360's first year with the ps3's. All 360 had was Gears of War.

The PS1 had crappy graphics. When the developers learned their way through the system, they can make it look better.

The PS2 had pixelated graphics at launch. Developers soon learned their way on the system and even made games that run at 1080i (same resolution as the Xbox 360)!

The Elite still has a 10% failure rate.

to tell the truth, pcs own any console and they can do more than any console thanks to their better processors and Gpu's

A fully loaded PC can have:

8 cores processor (Intel's Skulltrail)
6 GPUs (Nvidia's 9800GX2s with three-way SLI)
8 GB of RAM
Terabytes of HD space
Higher than 1080p graphics.

The only prohibitive thing is cost. sad

You can buy a Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, an HDTV with games for each at the same price as all those parts above.

Consoles are good, but PCs pump out higher resolution graphics with the right parts.

The PS3's cell processor powers the fastest supercomputer in the world. My PS3 is a full-computer. I modified it to unlock its true potential.

I love both my xbox 360 and my wii and at first I hated the PS3 but after what you guys say about it Im starting to change my mind
the PS3 has a lot of games exclusive to it that I wish I had and as you all have been saying the graphics are aparently awesome and I must not forget the fact I love my PS2 (and old PS1)

so the PS3 is sounding beter than I first thought the only problem is I can't afford it
