POLL: Voided Warranty

How scared are you to void your device's warranty?

Re: POLL: Voided Warranty

On computers, the warranties are useless considering that the tech support is just more IT goons trying to convince you to upgrade to a newer "less defective" product rather than helping you to fix your computer.

I never use Warranty

Re: POLL: Voided Warranty

I couldn't have cared less about voiding my PS2 warranty by modding it with a chip to play Japanese PS2 games.

Re: POLL: Voided Warranty

dude, my mom has been able to use her computer for 8 YEARS and all she had to do was
- get more memory
- replace the internal modem (cuz the old one was fried)
- replace the monitor (the old one was fried)

We just now switched the computers so that mine, the newer one, has the internet connection and is in the living room. Because we needed a new printer and we couldn't find one fore her operating system.

But screw warranties. My tech ed teacher helps me understand anything that I already don't about computers. Who needs some dell support center. The only time I called them is when I forgot my password for my computer. XD

What's the point of playing Japanese games if you can't understand it!?

A lot of Japanese games don't require much, if any, understanding of Japanese. For example, the Japanese versions of Dance Dance Revolution for the PS and PS2 have very little Japanese in it. If you played DDR at an arcade, chances are that it's a Japanese arcade cabinet, and I bet you'd have no trouble understanding that!

Japanese games you should avoid are ones with a lot of story and text, like RPGs.

Re: POLL: Voided Warranty

My ps2s disc thing got stuck one day.
Okay fine, take it apart.
I guess me and mom decided to play butter-fingers that night.
BOOM.
Warranty was over YEARS ago.
got a new ps2.
The end.

Oh god, looking at my old posts on here are absolutely cringeworthy. Hard to believe I made any friends, lol.

Re: POLL: Voided Warranty

I say screw warranties. I can often solve a problem by myself by opening up my computer.

Re: POLL: Voided Warranty

Same with me. I can install my own RAM/Modem/etc. My mom knows a lot about computers as well. Well, how they're set up inside. XD I basically have to connect the mouse and monitor and all for her.
