Are all American Schools as bad as mine?

Frederick County Public Schools, Winchester Virginia's motto: Providing a bettet learning environment.

Here's life at Sherando High School:

-Drug dealing in the hallways
-Kids carrying large 8 inch long knives through schools.
-Doors remain unlocked and unguarded all day. If I wanted to, I could bring in a shotgun and shoot 30 people before anyone had any idea what happened. (Our school is located next to a park. A pathway leads right to our back doors.)
-Classrooms are unlocked all day.
-Cigarette butts and marijuana can be found littered in our bathrooms along with chewing tobacco.
-F*** is a common word in our hallways.
-Random kids sneak up behind you and grab you in an attempt to scare you.
-My friend has be robbed while his backpack is on his back on several occasions this year.
-People are seen hard-core making out in plain sight. (Including some people who are gay.)
-Teachers sit and watch.
-Gang signs our written all over our bathroom walls.

Is this how all schools are in the U.S.A?

All schools that I have seen in Virginia are like this. And according to my friend that lives in West Virginia, his school is like mine.

I am serious about the shooting. If I wanted to, I could walk through the back doors (The lunchroom is the first room you arrive in.) during lunch and start firing off shots. There are over 500 freshmen in that room during lunch. Also, we have trailers that are seperate from the school that don't have phones in them to call for help. The teachers showed us that if you yank on the right door, it opens. There are 100 people in that trailer. All would be dead in under 30 seconds.

1. Drug dealing in washrooms, I got a near miss once.
2. Knives in school.
3. Gang, racist, religion insults on walls. >_<
4. Profane language.
5. Cameras all around.
6. Fights every week.

-fights almost every few days
-my bf was robbed of his DS, when it was in his backpack that was SUPPOSED to be in a locked classroom
-oh and someone called in a bomb threat as a joke one day, and one of the teachers told me that they had those every month one year so that kids could get out of a test.
-kids on parole, and running from the law
-kids making out in the hallway
-cigarette (or I THINK they were cigarette) butts out on the far side of the track.

One of my neighbors is a high-schooler and a friend of mine...the school she goes to isn't like that at all.

I can vouch for the reality of some of his claims, as I visit WV for 3 or 4 moths a year. But I've avoided the knifes for the most part. Although in Nevada we have some of the same problems... in reverse.

In my highschool we have weekly lockdown drills and drug raids/ "searches" [one of my friends had a cavity search. amazingly we all laughed about it in a month]. Problem is this started from a peice of paper entitled "Hit List" being found in the girls lockerroom. Since then it's something like a prision with cruler wardens *coTEACHERSugh*. Strangly, since that insadent [two years agao] the only things that have been found are...

3 packs of smokes
1 baggy of coke [like 2 grams, what a cheapskate, most of it was hay anyways!]
1 6-pack of beer
alot of cany bars and soda that are always confenscated. [get your oun you cheap buggers!]

People think it's great in florida,but it SUCKS.In my old school 2 kids were caught having s*x in the girls bathroom.Everyone in the hall went to see the drama.They were expeled.

Main doors are always unlocked, but there is a security guard that patrols the school's halls. As for a park...no, my school is surrounded by schools and has a 911 call center nearby...and a state police station.

Dunno about marijuana, but cig butts can be seen in the water fountain...with a wad of chew.

Not hardcore, but a regular peck and a hug where a teacher can't see it...and I don't think I saw any...er...homosexuals (I don't really like saying the other word for some reason)

Not really. Our school for some reason does not allow people to go down the stair cases near the lunchroom...and it's like the fastest way to lunch! And teachers enforce it...especially the deans...who both are rather militaryish.

Here and there. But our school immediately tries to remove it because my school is on the thread of my state's BOE...one mess up, and the school's screwed and the kids will HATE their life.

And no DFOKN, this is just a comparison of my school to yours in terms of what you posted.

I think that is prolly the worst school you could go to...unless you were El Paco!!! He Jumped the Border and still hasnt been cought...He is in a gang....You Dont Mess Wit Him or he will slice your.....not going there. But still My recamendation is get to a new school ASAP! I knew a kid that went to a school just like that and well he almost got killed for playing video games...he is still alive, but he lucked out greatly...

For one thing, my school is in an urban environment, with a large body of students. There is only one *gang* or force in town, one that I am a leading member of, (but certainly not leader) referred to as the Knights. It was named years ago. It's a group of Seniors at the High School and people a few years older. You are eventually removed from the gang upon reaching a certain age, as its existence is based at the High School. In any case, the Knights has a group of rules that it follows. It committs some illegal activities, but it keeps any them outside of school, and brutally enforces anyone who disrupts its rules.

For example, earlier this year, a student broke into another student's locker. The security couldn't figure out who it was, but students found out. That weekend, the Knights picked the student up and broke every one of his fingers. It's brutal, but you have to do something to keep status quo.

My school is located next to a police station, and surrounded by several sports fields, and a parking lot. Nothing else is nearby.

Students can only attend the hallways if they have a Pass, which only teachers have, and which the teachers fill out the student's exit/entry time, the student's destination, and sign it. Bathrooms are checked at least once every period by security. If any contriband is found, they know which students had access to the bathroom in a matter of minutes by checking pass lists.

As is with any school. However, if any adult overhears swearing, the student is immediately escorted to the Administration office by a teacher or security, and punished with a detention or more if needed.

Due to previously-mentioned bathroom security measures, this is impossible. It happened once, when a student wrote racial slurs on the bathroom wall. The student was identified with his pass, arrested, sued by the school, and expelled.

if there were a foolproof way to sort out idiot americans from good americans, id say all the good ones should all migrate over here, the scariest thing thats probably happened was one instance where a kid took a knife to a fist fight

but it didnt last long to best my knowledge, mostly cuz the other guy had the common sense to run away

as for your school, at least i can point out one good thing about it

homosexuals obviously arent afraid to express who they are... granted it would be nice if they went about it in other ways but still
