The fighting is over. But I must say this, games like the old Spyro are not being made anymore. Spyro has a solid fanbase of people who will follow him wherever he goes. The problem is, with all the bad publicity that AHT and ETDF gave him, no big gaming companies would want the rights to him. It's not that the old games would be bad, it's just that platformers like Spyro are, in most developers eyes, dead. The new age of platformers, like Halo, are what people are interested in. All games have to evolve, even mario had to change. I can see after LOS is gone, a sort of fusion between the two. It would have the basic elements of both. And Fletch, you're talking to the person who owns practically every gaming system known to man and follows the sales trends of games for the last 9 years. I don't want to start another fight so, end of story.

Back on topic.

Bananababy, this topic is a DISCUSION TOPIC, its supposed to have arguments, but as i've said, some people take arguments too seriously and start flaming everyone. Lets take me and maniaconwheels for example, we're doing the right thing, we're sharing our opinions let refraining from flaming each other. this is not a "war" topic or anything like that, but if you cant have a good discussion well than too bad.
Its not like i dont like Doppel or Maniaconwheels for having different opinions.

I am, just as i was looking faward to TEN...... But i dont know exaculy why i'm looking faward to it, by thesounds of it there isn't going to be any platforming and probably no minigames (or if theres puzzles, it would probably be lame).....
But....i guess the graphics and the Co-op make me excited. How about you?

I'm gunning it hard for the Storyline, Graphics, Co-op (hopefully online, as my brother and my friends suck at TEN), new developer, PS3 and HD.

The old Spyro and new Spyro are totally different things.

The old Spyro focused more on gameplay. Thats whyn serious gamers perfer it. It's just like Megaman Battle Network or Crash Bandicoot Warped. It doesn't have an interesting story or a combat system, it's just really fun to play. So people who couldn't care less about original Spyro are newbies who got drawn into the series by LoS, tried an old game, and only registered enough of the game to know it had a stupid storyline, then threw it down and yelled at ratchet for disagreeing with him.

The reason I like Spyro is because I started playing YotD when I was very little and got hooked. Since I was little, I didn't even mind the stupid storyline that much. Even AHT is a good game in my eyes because of my childhood memories of playing it. But LoS fans aren't like that. They just played ANB at a friends house, ect, and got interested in the storyline. You can't blame them for not liking the old games, LoS was meant to apeal to people interested in intence storyline.

Fans of the originals will just have to be happy with the first 3 games for now. I mean, everything can't stay the same forever. Yu-Gi-Oh! becomes Yu-Gi-Oh! Gx, Twinsanity becomes Titans, but keep in mind that it was either this or Spyro ended up like Harry Potter (only touched if you have to read something).

Besides, now that they have more Spyro fans, they can finish the LoS and make sonething that apeals to all Spyro fans. If we're EXTREMELY fortunate, it could even turn out as well as Yu-Gi-Oh! 5d's! roll

Online play? i wouldn't think so, they didn't say that in its features and i think it would of been a bit of a stretch. Good idea though!
