What OS are you using?
Let it be recorded in history that at 11:49 PM, June 12 2008, A Guy finally installed Windows XP on his computer.
I'm SO happy...

Re: What OS are you using?
Vista isn't that bad if you got all updates installed.
But I'm going to trade my Vista laptop for an XP one. My dad needs my vista! :-[

Let it also be known that he created a useless thread on the Spyro the Dragon forums on that day

No, it really is useless. In fact, isn't a thread like this considered spam and therefore not allowed?
Here's why it's useless: the fact he has XP on his computer relates solely to him, and there's really nothing for us to discuss about.
All I'll say is that in practically every other forum I've ever joined, a thread like this would get you banned, or at least warned

Well, if it's SPAM, SR could have moved it to SPAM section...

This coming from the guy who has been here for 3 days. This isn't one of the super-strict forums. Doppel's right, we come here to have fun. Some topics may be Spam but this isn't that bad.
The only thing I could suggest is that you change the name to "What OS are you using?" That would let users discuss along with you telling them of your accomplishment.

Yeah, that would be a good idea. Anyone else agrees?

Re: What OS are you using?
Windows Vista is about the worst OS ever. It's slow, annoying, and you have to buy all new software. Microsoft shouldn't even try anymore. They've made crap lately: Vista, Yahoo, Xbox 360.
P.S. Xbox 360 is an awesome gaming system. I am referring to the 33% failing rate which is horrific.

More like 7%.
Also, I'm currently running windows XP like any red-blooded man.

Re: What OS are you using?
I'm using Vista. Just get all the patches - required, optional, recommended - and it runs great.
Plus I tried a demo unit of an XB360 at the store, never liked the controls. I like the Playstation controller.

I mean over all. Last year it was at 30%, now it's around 10%. It still is horrific.

Well then, 90% of people who bought a PC within the last year aren't red blooded because all new computers at major retailers come loaded with Vista.

Re: What OS are you using?
All Vista is bad. You can't fix a terrible system. It would be easier, cheaper, and less risky to pay $50 for my uncle to rip Vista off and put XP back on.

Re: What OS are you using?
Your ways of "fixing" things can cause terrible results if one thing goes wrong. Then if you have a problem and send it back to M$, they laugh at you and send it back without even attempting to fix it.
