There's A Problem...
I believe someone has been going into my account. Nothing bad has happened, YET. Any ideas? I changed my password and logout and exit everytime I leave now.

Re: There's A Problem...
1. Good thing that you changed your password. That's what I'd do first.
2. Logout before exiting! That's a must!
3. School and public computers are NOT trustable. Who knows? Maybe some jerk has a keystroke logger or password capturer in there.
I do check the back of the school computer first to spot these devices, and I load Linux on the computers to disable any keystroke loggers.
4. NEVER go online here with a friend at your back. Who knows? Maybe he/she may pull a nasty prank.
5. Choose a GOOD password. Hard to guess, easy to remember. Also, put a four-digit number at the end of the password if you can. This increases the strength of the password even more.
To SR:
Is it possible to see the IP address of every post? And what will happen if you do get your SpyroForum account hacked? Is it possible to get it back?

Re: There's A Problem...
How do you know someone got into your account? I mean, did they post something you didn't do? And yeah, Doppel, a friend at your back might not be a good idea. My friend plays runescape aswell, and i asked him to stare at the wall wen i was typing my password.
Everything is funny as long as it is happening to somebody else.

If someone is going through my account, I would know. New posts I have not seen before will be unlit.

Re: There's A Problem...
If someone screws with your account, and you report it to me, ill get your account back.
heres a trick to screw up keyloggers:
Lets say my password is this:
dingledangle334When you type it in type this first:
dangle334Then, put your cursor to the front of the input box and type the first part..
dingleresulting in...
dingledangle334but they keylogger sees it as..
dangle334dingleThe more complicated your password is, the better this trick works.

Re: There's A Problem...
Well, my trick is to use an on-screen keyboard. No keystroke, no keylogs. ![]()

the problem is that if you accidentally pick up a keyloggerit doesnt matter how hard your password is to guess, theyll be able to get into your account
a keylogger takes a log of what keys you press on the keyboard, so if your password is
djkgkshlfk5673
then everytime you typed it in that password would be sent to whoever was behind the keylogger
also, basing it on your name isnt the best idea, not so much due to people online guessing it, but people in real life, if someone who knows your name wanted to get into an account, the first things theyd guess would be birthday, name and other personal details
