Hi, just me.....again.....wondering if there's anyone out there who likes the Ancient Art of Paper folding, Origami(ori=paper gami=fold)

Before I go on & on I just want to get a fact cleared up. Origami was not invented in Japan like so many people think. It was actually origianted(spelt wrong) in China during the first century AD. The Japanese later discovered the Art in the 3rd century from them, and made started making their own models. The French were the next to start practicing this great art. And now today, people from all over the world do it.

Personally my favorite origamist(not sure if real word) is Satoshi Kamiya.

And I repeat this is only SOME of is work, he has done lot more than that. Kamiya has created some of the WORLD'S most complex models.

If i am not wrong, i think he made one model which anyone can make without difficulty.

I can make a crane, a frog, a flapping bird, a water lilly, a fancy box, a candy dish, an icosahedron, a jumping frog, a goldfish, a persian cat, a ball and I can do lots more

Go ahead everyone post your favourite models, diagrams. Mines the 4 legged paper crane or dragon.

If you going to fold it and want it to look more like a dragon, this is what I do: Inside-reverse fold the mouth/nose to make it like a dragons head. Mountain fold and Valley fold the wings and to finish, inside-reverse fold the tail(3 times if you can) to make it look like spikes.

Hmmmmmm... Interesting subject! My school has an Origami Club. The weird thing is, it's hosted by the Technology teacher! o_O
