Personality vs Looks

Some people these days choose their friends by their looks. Others by personality. Personally, I choose my friends by personality. The real beauty of a person lies within them. I'm just curious to know whether people judge more by looks or personality. At my highschool, it's a little bit of both. But I hate it when people judge you by your looks and not your personality.

I judge by personality. I'm a good guy. Anyways people just do that because they don't wabt to hang out with ugo people and... (I don't want to say it) So anybody else that judge by personality? And your right dragonrider91. Personality is the beauty.

My school is all about looks, it makes me sad, a simple fashion trend can affect the entire social group, but I'm not one of those people, I look for friends for who they are, those "cool" kids, they say that the people they hang with are their best friend, but I always hear them taking about their friend behind their back. It's a strange and sad world we live in.

I think that most people can be classafied by actions, and most of those action can be traced back to the looks of the person in qustion, example.....

I have a groop of 3 friends including me,we are tighter than sardens because we have some things in common, majorly looks [ were ugly], wile some people {jake for example roll } have a buttload of "friends" that just make their alredy self f*cked up lives even worse.

I agree with all of you guys. Man, I try to be nice to people who care more about looks than anything. But they blow me off and ignore me. So, like I always say "Friends leave in and out of our lives, but true friends leave footprints in our hearts" I stick strongly to that quote. And it's their loss because I've got all of my real friends I need to make me happy for a lifetime. ^.^

Personality definitely, I have a friends who isn't all that pretty and she is paralyzed on her left side, but she's really nice. I don't care if my friends are ugly, I like them for who they are. At our school we have 3 levels, the first level, in the 'in crowd', where all the people judge each other by their looks, and personally, they all look stupid to me. The second level, the 'medium crowd', which is what I'm in. We are all friends and we all have good personality. Thats the best level if you ask me. And lastly, the 'out crowd', where all the people who don't want to be social hang out. No offense intended. But seriously, theres this girl who went to my primary school who just sits and reads every lunch and recess! Anyway, I think judging people by their looks is horrible and wrong.

The world revolves around 3 things

1.money
2.Ideals [religion, species superiorty, etc. etc.]
3.and looks, if someone has 2 or more of the above then the are to be feared. That's how people think, their's actilly a part of our brain that ALWAYS acts on a good looking or not so good looking basis!

But then again, someone can have a 'good' personality and still be mean as heck to you. wink It depends on how well you get along with the individual.

But if they look weird and dress funky, then I wouldn't be hanging around with them. Reputation is big in high school. If your rep gets ruined early on, then you're pretty much screwed for the rest of high school.

Before I start, I'd like to apologize for being off topic here.

First of all, I have NOTHING againts lunch readers, they can read all they want and I don't mind. I just think it doesn't kill to be social once in awhile. I mean, I've known her forever and she never talks unless we talk to her, all through primary school she always read and was never social. And she's not chemically imbalanced like you are. No offense intended anyone.

Made it into a poll, that seems to be a good idea.

Personally, I am split. I like people with both good looks and personality. My girlfriend has better looks than smarts, I have to admit, but my friends have good personalities to go with themselves. Myself, I'm not a 'good' personality kinda guy. With my friends I'm fine, but with most business and work related things, I'm a cold and emotionless person.

I'm not trying to hook up with my mates so i have to say more personality, But i would have to admit if someone was a great person inside but they where hella scabbed up with no teeth, Walking down the street twitching i would have to say, I would proberbly disown them in public, Just been honest, I would not mean to hurt them but i would be embaressed.

I use to walk around like a bum lol, But as i get older i realise you have to make some sort of effort, Not massivly but a little effort with your looks.

As well when you see someone in the street you can only judge by looks, (If your in a situation where you have to judge, If not i'd just leave them be.)
It's same as the good old saying....
If you where driving down a street, There where 2 cars broken down, Car the same, The driver dressed the same, Only diference is, Ones white, Ones black.
People call it racisim but i think it's perfectly o.k. to choose the white guy over the black guy, I feel safer with white people, Nothing racist, I just do.

Oh well, I'm getting off topic and i don't want to start the whole racisim religion thing here lol.

Heh, when I say "personality" I really mean it. big_smile I can't really tell what a person looks like. I won't deny that I like the way some people look, but I'm far more attracted to the personality. I've met plenty of handsome guys who freaked me out by being obnoxious.
