Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

I see it as the best post-Insomniac title, but Ripto's Rage still stands as my fave in the entire series, personally.

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

It was lacking in terms of where Insomniac left it with Year of the Dragon.

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

Well, think of it this way.  Apparently Sierra wanted to start the story of Spyro over, new storyline, all that good stuff, but include something that Insomniac left out...How it all began... (music of omnipotence plays in background).  They did a pretty good job with it, except for one thing.  Drifting from one level directly to the other is NOT the Spyro way.  It brings back pleasant memories of Super Mario Bros, but that's about it.

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

Same.

Its a good game. I enjoyed it. It was worth my $50 CND.

Some members like the old games, some like the new, some just don't care, as long as they can get their hands on a spyro game!

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

Nonetheless, developers shouldn't make a bad game just because they know fans will buy it no matter what. ANB was very lacking where its previous-generation games exceeded. Previous Spyro's gave you the decision of where to go, and the ability to travel to and from worlds via a homeworld, and etc. ANB had none of this. In my mind, that's what makes Spyro simply Spyro. Doesn't matter how well you dress it up with big name actors and cinematics. I prefer the voice of Tom Kenny over Elijah Wood any day.

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

But now lets think: This game was designed for kids. Little kids. Little kids that have not played the previous games. They have it all planned out. They invest a lot of money for research regarding marketing, and effective characters. Im sure they are happy with the outcome.

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

Well the reson why it took me a week to complete the game, is that I had to do alot.

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

the old ones were good but the way i see it is that the old ones were geting to a point where they couldnt go any further so this one was good to make considering its about how spyro became what he is now

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

Another valid point raised. If it goes by the same stale formula all the time, people are bound to feel disappointed. On top of that, I thought Elijah Wood did a significantly better job on Spyro than whoever did him in A Hero's Tail (was it Jess Harnell?), so I see it as an improvement. Though, I still think that Tom Kenny did the best of the Spyro voices, so no hard feelings there.

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

Elijah Wood definatley has a good voice which fits Spyro's. For Heavens sake he also voiced Mumble the Penquin in Happy Feet. Yep he has a good voice.

Re: THE BEST SPYRO YET

It's better than both ETD and AHT, but it doesn't beat the originals. It also bothers me that the original series will never be continued and a new one may take its place. Oh well. Hopefully whatever ANB began will be pretty good.

Just know that whatever happens to us...It wasn't my fault.
