Depends what kind of art...

I make great 3d digital art in Blender for my Torque Game Engine, but I am not that good at drawing.

My drawing skills are fairly good.

My 3D modeling and digital renderings are good to fine.

*sighs* As an artist, I have this to say. There's a saying among artists, "There is no good or bad art, because every artist's style is different." The only time a piece of art can be "bad" is if you're trying to draw let's say... a cat, in realistic style, but it comes out as more of a stick-figure type... thing. That's pretty much one of the only times that art can be considered "bad."

I have to agree with Blaze on this one. You really can't be bad nor good at art, and you also can't expect to meet your own standards the first time you draw. It's on of those things you have to practice with in order to get it down. So it's not really about "bad" or "good", rather, it is a vast multitude of classifications dependent on what style of art (as Blaze said), the personal style of the artist, and many other factors which would make calling a picture good or bad very difficult unless you know the person who drew it, personally and what exactly they were aiming for in their picture. Even then, you probably couldn't say if it was good or bad, because you're most likely using another person's art as a mental comparison factor, which wouldn't work because that other person does not have the same personality or style of drawing as the person whose drawing you're saying is good or bad. In other words, the quality of the picture that that person drew could only be compared by any other of the picture's that he/ she drew, provided it's in the same genre of art. For example, I could say the "Mona Lisa" was a terrible abstract picture or didn't have an all too well done background, both statements of which are true but the "Mona Lisa" wasn't centered around the background nor was it meant to be abstract art. The portrait was centered entirely around what he personaly felt the portrait should be centered around.

Summary
So basically the best you could do in the field of determining the quality of a picture would be saying something like, "This was not one of your best works" or "Wow that's your best picture, yet." or something to that effect. Only the artist who drew the picture can say whether his/her artwork is good or bad because he/she is the only one who knows everything about the picture that he/she drew.

Usually, I don't care about my art, so it becomes sloppy. But like Misa, if I can find a purpose, or a little motivation to put more effort into it, it actually turns out pretty well.

I do Graphics at my school, and I sometimes use drawing techniques learnt in graphics to do drawings, which turns out quite handy.
It involves drawing 3d boxes as the bases.

For the most part, I guess I'm pretty good. I can sketch just about anything. Humans are particularly tough though. I'm still working on my computer graphic style and it keeps changing XD The only thing I have the worst time doing is landscapes, probably just cuz I don't like doing them big_smile

My art skills are OK, I guess. I can draw anything pretty good, especially if I can see it. But I sketch all the time, especially animals: furries, scalies, avians. I'm working on people, humans...they're a little tougher.
I'm really interested in the anime' style and want to learn how to draw and color that way, either totally free-hand or with the computer using Photoshop.

Okay, I'm fantastic at drawing dragons. Other animals, I range from okay to pretty good, still objects, pretty da*n good, but here's my weakness: Humans. I really SUCK at drawing humans. :-P
