evolution (or if youre religious, god) work in funny ways, even birds couldnt fly if they didnt have hollow bone structure, perhaps dragons do too, and frankly who's to say that dragons (if they do exist) are really as big as stories lead us to believe im sure there are plenty of myths out there that could be based on fact (king arthur?) that have been exaggerated a lot
as for firey breath, yes its not likely that evolution would lead to a creature with this ability, and why would any god create such a creature, breathing fire doesnt really have a place in any ecosystem, especially not when dragons already have claws and fangs with which to defend themselves, but just because its not need doesnt mean its not possible
you say they would burn their throats off, not if the flame is produced outside of the throat and mouth, a liquid could be sprayed which may be activated either by some kind of sparking organ in the mouth, or it could just produce flame when in contact with oxygen
saying its impossible is just as bad as saying its definite, improbable is the best choice of words

Evolution would not help with those kind of things. Where would this Mystery Liquid come from? How is it produced?

Its completley impossible and thats my final verdict

not fire, but it is a liquid being expelled at boiling point, now i think if a small beetle is capable of evolving this feature, a large reptillian creature would be quite capable of evolving similar adaptations

and as others often say, "ignorance is bliss", i on the other hand like to keep an open mind about things

I know they existed,but do they still exist?My thinking-

Everyone around are saying that dragons NEVER existed,only me.Mabe,I am only one in Croatia that belives in dragons,but i don`t care what others say.
For me,they existed...but do they still?When I watch DragonHeart,I know they exist.If I don`t think they are on Earth,I know they are around stars or on some other planet.Mabe they are flying around stars name ˝Draco˝.Or they are hiding.I don`t know but I know this,THEY DID EXISTED,THEY DO EXIST AND THEY WILL EXIST! Well though there may not be proof they are around today sciencetist may not have proven it but i know some who have so i know they're real

no that would be evidence, its pretty easy to fake things nowadays, proof is when you walk down the street and go, hey look a dragon, feels like a dragon, smells oddly like a dragon, and hmm now that ive cut it open and there isnt a human inside, i realise it is a dragon

in other words evidence points towards the truth whereas proof removes all doubt

and cynderlover, you dont know someone who has proven it, you likely know someone who claims to have seen one, in which case you do not know they exist, you believe they do
