A few suggestions

Ok I have been thinking alot about forums lately placing suggestions around etc etc and then I came back realising that loads of the features that are elsewhere are not here and well I was wondering if we could add a few possibly.

1: Custom usertitles (the member chooses the title)
2: A feature that shows what topic has been replied to shown on the board that has the topic within
3: A shoutbox (not the best idea but worth a shot)

That's a few suggestions that I have thought of for the time being I will possibly think of more but until then this is all smile

1. I prefer to keep usertitles as they are.
2. I don't understand.
3. I consider shoutboxes to be a turn off when joining a forum. There wouldn't be any posting, people would just use the shoutbox. Plus, I think shoutboxes look a little tacky.

for example

General Chat-------------------Topic - Topic Name - Member Name
Something along those lines

We don't need an archives board, I leave topics as they are even when they get locked, so most of them are never deleted anyways.

As for #2, I think its unnecessary.

I found this untrue when I joined a forum with a shoutbox. People chat in the shoutbox mostly about their daily lives, or something random, and that's about to the extent of it. It doesn't sacrifice the chances of people posting regularly on the forums.
There are many topics that people would like to discuss as a group, and often you can't conveniently or effectively discuss such topics in a shoutbox - people continue making posts in the forum as a result. Also, most people want their voices to be heard, so the best way to do that is to make a post in the forum where everyone can see their opinions.
The shoutbox is just a nice addition to the site, mainly for small talk and randomness. The only thing detrimental I find is that sometimes shoutboxes have people thinking they can make do with coarser language/abusive swearing, in which case we would need someone to moderate the shoutbox and "kick out" the offending users for a certain length of time.
The shoutbox can even replace the Spam forum, if you'd want to go that far.

I don't think so. Shoutboxes cannot hold pictures that people may want to share.

It'll get rid of posting a few useless threads, like those ones that are filled with nothing but the word "spam".
