They do too. A pound of gold weighs the same as a pound of feathers. They're both one pound.
They're not the same pound. So, which one is heavier?
The question is old school, based on the fact that gold is weighed in troy ounces, but feathers (like all material other than precious metals and gemstones) are weighed in avoirdupois ounces. Because troy weight has 12 ounces to a pound, but avoirdupois weight has 16 ounces to a pound, the trick answer is that a pound of feathers (at 16 ounces) is heavier than a pound of gold (at 12 ounces).
Since when have I been trialed by riddles... never still.

Re: Riddles

Re: Riddles
none of them are true they're all just no correct statements cause 95+96=191 /191>100

I daresay I have the answer, response, or solution to your inquest, Reivan.
The correct contest to your riddle is [glow=darkblue:1ac362dc33]nothing[/glow:1ac362dc33], yes?
Here is a question, riddle, or perhaps inquisition of mine.
A metal neither black nor red
As heavy as man's golden greed
Do what you will to stay ahead
By foot, by arrow, or by steed.
This world...Is rotten. People are evil, they kill and murder for no reason. I will be the one to cleanse this world of evil. I am Kira.

Re: Riddles
Has anyone gotten mine? Well, I think it maybe more of a joke. Oh, well. This one:
A man walked into a bar and asked for a glass of water. The bartender took out a shotgun and pointed it at the man. The man said " Thank you " and left. Why?

Re: Riddles
This is less a riddle, more a problem.
Look at this equation sequence-
A = B
(multiply by B )
AB = B squared
(Take away A squared)
AB - A squared = B squared - A squared
(Factorise them)
A(B-A) = (B-A)(B+A)
(Divide by B-A)
A = A + B
What's the problem with this?

Re: Riddles
The problem is your last step. Since A=B, A-B would = 0, so you cannot divide by 0, which is what you are doing in that last step.
Dragons need some loving, too. ^^

Re: Riddles
The answer to my riddle was: 1 correct answer, that there was 99 incorrect statements, because 100 statements were written, only 1 could be true because if there was 99 incorrect statements out of the 100 then the 99th one is correct because the 99 state ments except the 99th is wrong from the fact that there were exactly 99 statements that were wrong.

YOu know what, there's a way to make this a bit less obvious.
A = A + B
(but B=A)
A = 2A
(Divide by A)
1 = 2!
This was the old lame 1 equals to 2 trick.

Re: Riddles
Here are a couple more.
If you lie to me, I will slay you with a sword.
But if you tell me the truth, I will slay you with a spell.
How do you wish to die? Sword or Spell?
And...
Two twins stand by two paths.
They are exactly alike in all regards but one.
One always tells the truth, and one always lies.
What is the one question you can ask to discern which is which?

Re: Riddles
@Above
The answer to the first one should be you say to him "You will slay me with a sword", where then it will loop both statements and thus none of the conditions will then apply.
For the second one, point to one of the two ways and ask one brother "Would your brother say that this is the way to hell?" If he answers "Yes" it's the way to Heaven, if he says "No", run the other way. I don't need to site an example to explain this.

That's right, Zekira Drake. Good job. More riddles:
What is the middle of middle and the end of the end?
What runs but never goes anywhere?
A horse is tied to a 15 ft. rope and there is a bail of hay 25 ft. away from him. Yet the horse is able to eat from the bail of hay. How is this possible?
Two cops walked into a room with no windows and found a dead man who obviously hung himself from the ceiling, though they couldn't figure out how. There was no chair beneath him that he might have jumped off of, or a table. Just a puddle of water. How'd he do it?
That last one is hard, just think about it real carefully. And the second to last one, that takes a good thinker. Do your best, everyone!

1. the answer is D
2. A fence, It runs around a yard, but never moves
3. the rope isn't tied to anything but the horse so its not restricted by it
4. He was on a block of ice and the ice melted, so he was hung!!!!!!!!!
