Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
Sorry for taking so long, I had SOL's today. (Virginia Standards of Learning) They are the tests we study all year for. I had my History one today and for the past 6 years I've gotten 600/600 on it. I had to make sure I got perfect anyway.
Reivan: Let's just say that Documentaries and books are nearly always incorrect. *cough*Dragonology *cough* As for my insight on dragons, that is something I tell very few people. Just trust me.
Next, it is rather hard for me to explain on a computer. I am not the greatest at explaining things scientifically.
Anyway, dragons' have a sort of tube that runs from from our stomach to our mouths that PREVENT a hydrogen explosion from occuring. Like I said, it is complex and VERY hard to explain. Hydrogen only becomes water if two atoms are present and one oxygen. Dragon's hydrogen contains only one hydrogen atom so our breath doesn't turn it into water. That would cause a BIG problem.
Ontels: Dragons, contrary to popular belief, do not live alone. We live in a small group of families (2-3) and each has it's own job. (Hunting, Caring for hatchlings, Protection, etc.) Usually, a mother dragon will be very protective of her young and teaches them to fly at around 2 weeks old. Dragons can speak any language they wish but that mostly depends on the region they are from. However, dragons can communicate telepathically with one another. (Kind of like Eragon if you want an example.) Dragons however, can speak any human language with practice and can usually master it within a few weeks.
Interesting Fact: If a mother dragon is unable to find a mate, she will likely kidnap a small child and raise him/her as her own. (Very rare occurance)
Sorry if I didn't get all your questions in. If I missed yours, MAKE SURE TO TELL ME!

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
Dragons originated in Europe about 15 million years ago. After humans discovered Europe, dragons fled to the americas. Some dragons still live in parts of Canada and the Midwest, but you won't find them. Now days, there are only about 1000 dragons left on earth, mostly in parts of Siberia and western China.

You won't find one. No matter how lucky you are or how much dumb-luck you have. You won't find one.

Why not?
It's not like they can read my head and know where I will try or what will I do.

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
Dragons can smell humans from over 50 miles away. If you got anywhere near one, they would simply leave the area or disguise themself. Anyway, you wouldn't be able to reach the areas where they live. Also, dragons have a habit on knowing what you are going to do before you do it.

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
What if, by some inexplicable, strange, wondrous and stupendous chance I bumped into one? Would they be more likely to kill me or something?
(P.S: I have another question. Can I PM it when I find the right English words? My native language isn't English so...)

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
That depends on the dragon. Usually, if you have walked through a forest or mountain, a dragon has its eyes on you. You know that feeling that you are being watched? That sometimes is a dragon having fun. We like to see your reactions.
Anyway, if you saw a dragon, the dragon wouldn't hurt you in any way, they would likely not let you leave though. We don't reallt trust humans.

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
Yes... Back in the Philippines, I can't sleep in the tents when we are camping. Don't know, but that pretty much is the same.
And, they would not let me leave? I'll escape. :-P

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
You can't escape a dragon, even if you are a master magician. If you tried to get away while they were asleep, a dragon's senses would react and grab you before you got more than a few feet.

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
Think about it, if a human told people about dragons, we would be used in scientific experiments and locked in zoos. We would be treated like a dumb horse. A dragon is smarter than any human could ever wish to be. Bill Gates has an IQ of 160, the most foolish dragon would have over 250. The average human adult has an IQ of 100. We want to be left in peace and if someone finds one of us, they can't be allowed to leave.

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
whaite a minite that dosent make sense if a dragon let a human go and he told evreone about his experiance
1.noone would belive him
2.even if people did belive the person who saw the dragon you said it's inpossible to see a dragon so it wouldent even matter anyway
and also if dragons have an IQ of 250+ then why dont they
3.build a space fleet and leeve earth?
4.create an embassy with humans?
5.destroy us?

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
Ontels,
1. The mention of a story of a dragon would attract people and at least some people would come back with cameras.
2. People who say they've seen ufo's can tell you that people have come by to check it out. There are people who would drive miles to see a place where a dragon was seen. It makes perfect sense. People who have seen giant birds in New Mexico get lots of attention. There was even a newscrew there that made a 1 hour special on it.
3. Because dragons have no need for technology. It is not neccessary to leave Earth for survival. True dragons love to discover new things but humans don't really know the secrets of the earth and now they're trying to get to Mars? Dragons have been observing for millions of years and we still don't know it all.
4. Dragons see humans as an inferior race who simply fight to solve there problems. YOU TRY TO ARGUE WITH ME! For the last 5000 years, humans have been at war with each other somewhere or another. Dragons prefer to observe humans from after. You entertain us.
5. Dragons want to give humans a chance. We don't kill one another. We have much to learn about humans and destroying them would be of no point to us. Besides, humans will destroy themselves one day anyway, whether it be by war or by famine.

The human couldn't escape.

I could help out a lot on this thread to. I've been a dragon researcher, fable-teller, and morale-taker for over 4 years now.

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
Yes there has. If you're wondering where the bones are, there aren't any. Dragon bones "dissolve" (Can't think of a better word) into the soil so no remains are left. Usually when a dragon gets slayed, the slayer doesn't get very far. Dragons live together so he/she would be found out within a few minutes because dragons can sense when another dies.

Re: Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring
No, dragons have had no need for violence. In fact, the only reason a dragon would hurt a human was if a human did something to the dragon first. There was one instance when a man smashed a dragon's egg. That man died within two seconds of the instance.
