Lock Impressioning

Lock Impressioning
by Spector

Disclaimer: I will not be responsible if you get yourself in trouble using my information.  I dont like trial lawyers that much either for that matter...

What the heck is lock impressioning? For one thing it is a way of cracking
a lock without the hassle of picks and tension levers. Impressionning is a
way of making a master key that can be used over and over again. How? Let
me explain...

Requirements

1 pair of pliers
1 blank key
1 rat tail (or similar) file.

How? (hmm... good question.)
1) Take a candle light it and hold the blank key above it until it is
coated with soot.

2) Using your stealth sneak up to the door you want to crack. Then insert
the blank key into the lock.

3) Using the pliers twist the key left and right with alot of pressure.
Make sure not to damage the key.

4) Bring the key home. Notice how the pressure rubbed away the soot and
left indentions in the key. Using the file file down the areas where the
markings are. You may have to impression the key once or twice more untill
the key works.

Wham! you now have a key that will fit the lock over and over again. Use
for what ever purpose you see fit fellow hackers!

Re: Lock Impressioning

Dang Spector, I admire your ambition, but shouldn't you put all this Lock Picking info in one topic?  You know a lot, but some less-mature and younger members may misuse this information.  If you put this in one topic, it is easier to collect your thoughts and easier for others to find one place to put their many opinions. Good job, otherwise, (you should work for the government  cool

Re: Lock Impressioning

Meh...my solution is a credit card that is shaped like the latch on the side and put it over and pull the door and card at same time forceing the latch slide onto the card.

Re: Lock Impressioning

My style of opening doors by force is to use a plastic placemat OR run as fast as you can into it. (Door Charge) I rammed open a steel door once. :-P

The metal (stainless steel) door was thin and extremely flimsy. So flimsy that you can use two fingers and wobble the door really hard. The door weighs around, say, 2-3 Kg.

It was easy. I rammed it open and I went out without a scratch. The sound was like... "BRAM!" and it just crumpled.

Screw missing keys. big_smile

After that, we just un-bent the thing with a hammer.

Re: Lock Impressioning

(Metal doors in my country are meant to be flimsy. They are not really intended to stop bad people coming in, but are there to keep them mosquitoes out.)

Well... My parents lost the keys to the metal door. I have to open it or stay outside. In the rain.
