Spyro.com
Well, I emailed the owner of the domain name "Spyro.com", wondering if he'd sell his domain name. I got this response back. It caught me completely off guard.
Hi Brad,
I bought this domain (spyro.com) when my son Spyro which in Greek is short for Spyridon, his given name was born. My son passed away when he was 6 months old. As you understand this domain has sentimental value for me and my family, so I do not plan of selling it. FYI, I turned down a 6 digit offer back in 1999.
Thank you for asking though!
George

Re: Spyro.com
Wow, that's . . . sad. I hope the kid's up in heaven now.
For some reason when I type in Spyro.com it goes to a real estate site.

Re: Spyro.com
hmmm, when i type in spyro.com it goes here... http://www.alexiourealty.com/
Spyro.net however seems just like a markting domain name and doesn't really look like it has any value.
spyro.org is pretty much the same thing as spyro.net
http://spyro.com.au/ looks weird
http://spyro.com.uk/ had nothing, it was totally free.

Re: Spyro.com
I don't really know. Maybe he uses the spyro name to attract traffic?

Re: Spyro.com
Wow ...
Obviously means a lot especially when turning down a 6 digit offer.
