They are a old band that was probably one of the most successful bands in history.

Re: U2
Am I the only person here that's even vaguely familiar with what they do? Most of the time they come through with some strong melodic work while still keeping their feet firm on the modern pop charts today. I don't know if they'd be among the greats just yet, but I'll still say that they're among one of the sweetest things (no pun intended) to come out of Ireland.

Re: U2
Yes! I really like U2. They are an amazing band with many talents. My
favorite song it Where The Streets Have No Name. It always reminds me of
a Christian song called I Am Free [by Newsboys, I think. Their version is
not that great, though]. I like to give I Am Free some sort of U2 sound
when I play in the worship bands.
U2 knows how to make great music, unlike most other bands these days.

Re: U2
My sister is an enormous U2 fan. If there's one person she'd yell her lungs out for, it's The Edge. Blame U2 for her affinity with all things Irish (+ Guinness beer).
I'll be going to a U2 concert sometime in June.

Re: U2
(Wow , the topic is 3 years old in reality , look at the first post)
Yes I like them (surprise you , huh ?) , between two metal albums they fit great...
My favorite song ? New Year's Day.
Even if I heard it too much I still like this song...Amazing , giving how old it is (23 years old...It's older than me !).
"Beautiful day" is a good song too , but this recent album (All these things you can't let behind) doesn't beat "War" IMO , because it miss some epicness from it.

Sorry. My fault. I clicked on the last page, and when I saw "U2," I really
wanted to reply to it, as I like the band. Most of the new topics are about
the same thing [music], so I decided to reply. Why not? U2 is great.

Re: U2
U2 was not being compared to bands such as The Beatles in this situation.
The statement was that U2 is a very successful band. And I agree. They are
quite successful, and their music will live on for decades, and generations.
