Contest One: Spyro Motivational Poster

Welcome to our first contest! For this contest, you have to make a Spyro-themed spoof on those (often cheesy) motivational posters.

Don't know what I'm talking about? This will remind you.

The key elements to the poster are:

1) Nice, clear image for the center.
2) Witty Spyro-themed 'attribute' (the attributes on the real posters include "determination", "persistence", "adversity", etc.)
3) A quick, to-the-point saying that illustrates the 'attribute'
4) Your poster can feature any Spyro character or place or element - Spyro, Sparx, Bianca, Ignitus, Crates, Scriber's Quills, Gems, Sheep, Avalar, Forgotten Worlds, etc. If it's Spyro, it's allowable.

I've made my own poster to demonstrate (warning: NSFW, swearing)

My poster was based off the comments by Ted Price, Insomniac President, in an interview that led to questions about why the left Spyro:

We donâ€™t work with Spyro anymore; we walked away from Spyro years ago...you know what? the reason we did was because as a character there was very little left that we could do with him. I mean he doesnâ€™t have hands, so he canâ€™t hold a gun!

The fact is Spyro is still around years later, post-Insomniac, still no hands.

I chose to make a social statement about Spyro with my poster. Yours could be as simple as a comment on the sheep or something along those lines - it can be as relevant and serious or silly and irrelevant as you choose.

Now go out and choose your attribute, come up with a saying and make those posters.

You can choose to explain why you chose what you did when you post your poster, as I explained my choice above.

For poster-making help try using Motivator

If you think that's cheating, make it on your own however you please.

Upload them to an image host (flickr, photobucket, etc.) and post a link to them here or post the image in a spoilers box.

The contest will end on May 31st and the rewards for the best posters go as follows:

First Place - 10,000 gems
Second Place - 5,000 gems
Third Place - 1,000 gems

All due credit goes to SFRB for this one so if it wins she gets the gems. I got it from her Dev account. Sorry SFRB I hope that's Ok. I was going to include Sparks in this one to make it Spyro related but then my computer retarded up.

I think a lot of you are mistaken on what a motivational poster is. It is a poster with a single giant word. You then come up with a philosophical, wity phrase to build around the meaning of that word. And here it has to be Spyro related (Although I have no room to talk).

Just tell me if I'm overstepping my boundaries here, Spyro.

For all of you who found this as... fun... as I did. I chose the tagline: "See also: insanity" because it implies that you should find a definition for insanity. Albert Einstein once said that a crazy person does the same thing over and over again, and expects different results. I think that really applies to Tree Tops, becuase it takes quite a few tries to get to that last dragon.
