We're totally open to any suggestion you might have for a contest. From drawing contests, boxart making contests and other art-related contests to something more along the lines of slogan making, story writing or character design - tell us a contest you would like to see and you think others would enjoy being a part of.

how about others try to draw my Fan Char. in Anime style

oh and sorry to say but you have to have expert drawing skills like PTTP, Razz, ect

If somebody could draw me as a dragon I would give them 10,000 gems with an extra 2,000 gems if colored. NO JOKE (to the best drawing)

Name: Lori

Gender: Female

Elements: Earth/Electricity

Wings: Spring Green arm and faint yellow membrane(with a claw at the end)

Tail end: Spikes

Crest: Hunter Green(sorta spikey) with lime green highlights

Main Color: Spring Green and Hunter Green with bright yellow lightning bolts down her back

Head shape: like Spyro's(new Spyro) has a triangular shape snout is like Cynder's ( has a pointed lip)

Horns: Long (and if you've seen a magic crafter can you make the horns look like that)

Eyes: Faint Green- Slightly slanted with a natural shadow underneath(not too slanted)

Expression: Somewhat serious

If someone could draw Seth,Arcane,Akirex,and Nuby in figthing stances...now THat'd be geat!

But I'd have a contest for who'd have the best poem..now that'd be hard.ALso we'd need 3-6 judges.

I Was going to Have A Youtube Contest where you must post a video of the longest glide, but i thought that since this forum opened, a prize could be gems, and this is a good place for spyro Players, i think that Having the Contest at Spyroforum may be a good idea. though yopu do NEED a youtube account to upload the video.

How about an art contest where someone not in the competition draws the first part of a comic (involving the proper characters) and people have to draw out the ending? With the best ending winning? Or it could be in text form, of course.

I'd do a contest for a piece of art or literature that best portrays Cynder's stress and pain in the aftermath of being controlled by the Dark Master.

I like Ratchet's idea. Is some sort of contest of Spyro skills what you guys had in mind for this particular section of the forum?

Speedruns are pretty popular, as are going through levels without getting hit. You could also do minigames where everyone tries to get the best score, and you wouldn't even need to go one youtube, you could just post a screenshot of the last part.

There are so many possibilities.

How's about we create a contest where you make character for the spyro series and that character should fit into the plot as clearly as possible.

How about we make a speedrun contest. I would be happy to host it, but we need a moderator to open the topic and to reward the gems.

No... I think we should have a toilet paper unrolling contest. Everyone must have a new roll of toilet paper and must unroll it at the fastest time possible.

(Just 100 plies of toilet paper with a camera to upload to youtube.)

No, a speedrun contest wouldn't be good. Not everyone has access to a camcorder or similar filming device. But everyone on the forum has access to a drawing/writing program. That's why they're the most cited source of competition.

Maybe not a speedrun though. It could be just a picture of your best time in a speedway, and we could compare times.

The speed run contest would be a good idea and all, except you could cheat it if you use GameShark but you use it so little it looks real. I guess that it is okay to assume that people are honest though.

I realise that, but i'm getting really sick of those kinds of contests. I agree with Depaul about the speedways. As for gamesharks, its pretty easy to tell if someone uses one (except if we do just a screenshot).
Emulators are generally pretty easy to record off if you have the right software, but i dont think people will approve of that.
I'm just really sick of Fanart & fanfiction contests.

How about some sort of movie style contest?

Eg. Merging Spyro clips to form some sort of humourous mini-chat between the characters? Taking them from all the games and combining them, etc.? I'm very bad at explaining. But anyone get my drift?
