Re: Spyro cartoons

I think that if they did make a cartoon series, it might conflict with the games a little.  But that's just my opinion. smile

Re: Spyro cartoons

I think that a Spyro cartoon show wouldn't turn out that well. Not all games turned into cartoons can have the success of the Pokémon anime... especially American-created games. e_e

Re: Spyro cartoons

Or the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons. They're well received. Well... except for Sonic Underground and Sonic X (main issue among fans was the 4Kids dub and Chris Thorndyke).

Re: Spyro cartoons

Remember Japanese anime MEGA PWNS all English dubs. Go YouTube hunting for fansubbed Japanese things. They're always better. <.<;

Re: Spyro cartoons

Let's see what games turned into cartoons: Mario, Zelda, Sonic, Tak..... ugh, I can't think of anymore.

Re: Spyro cartoons

a Spyro cartoon would be good if done by the right people. no 4kids-edited shows.

oh yeah, there was a cartoon series for Megaman, remember? those were good. =P

Re: Spyro cartoons

Where did spyroNCynder hear about a Spyro cartoon series? Yeah I remember the Sonic and Tak TV shows, but I've never heard of a Mario or Zelda cartoon series. That sounds kind of weird....lol

Re: Spyro cartoons

To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me, most animated movies some how end up making their own stand alone shows soon after...

Examples:

Lion king
Emperor's new groove
Lilo and Stich
Even Madagascar o_O

well... you get the idea...

the point I'm trying to make is that, after the movie, its very likely that a cartoon show might follow...

Re: Spyro cartoons

I dont think it would be a good idea instead of making a TV show about it they should make the spyro movie ( if its coming out ) the best movie out there & if fans want more after that then they could make a TV show about it. but if it fails then it wouldn't help spyro at all as a TV show cause not many would watch it other than spyro fans & even some spyro fans wouldn't watch it lol.

Re: Spyro cartoons

If they did decide to make it a TV series, how would they be able to draw him? Who would air the TV show?

Re: Spyro cartoons

For some reason, sometimes I think a TV series for Spyro drawn from hand would more or less tougher than actually animating with 3D models. However, due to the recent growing trends of computer animation, in the movie industry, and the infinite internet in some parts, it might be possible for the TV series to be computer animated. However, I have no idea if the parts of the the first LOS game utilize clay-animation (I haven't played the game as I recall, additionally) but it seems very fitting for the series. Maybe play the scenes again in Youtube, which I just looked at for a couple of seconds. It is clay animation. tongue

In my world, I believe that there are many, many ideas that are waiting to be created; by inspiration, renewing an old idea, or just by accident.

Re: Spyro cartoons

3D models i think would be better, I mean no one would do drawing for Spyro. I know i wouldn't.

Re: Spyro cartoons

Maybe cartoon network. If the old Nickolodian was still around, id say they should host it.

Re: Spyro cartoons

Cartoon Network in my opinion would be the best option for the show.

Re: Spyro cartoons

yeah it would be they already host pokemon & star wars there why not spyro. but all i know is that elijah wood would not be spyros voice, someone else would have to do it. cause it would be a step back for him to do cartoons i think

Re: Spyro cartoons

I still wish he would do it though even if it was a step back. To me he is Spyro, i wouldn't like the new voice very much (unless it was someone who was good at voicing animation) but i'd eventually warm up to them.
