Re: Please delete this post.

Last time I heard of it, about a week ago, it was less than 20 miles from my home town. But I don't see ANY signs, it be coughing, snifling and so on, of it even existing nearby. If it is here, it sure is a WEAK flu. To prove the Swine Flu really is in my town, let's put a 'Here is the Swine Flu' sign over wherever it is so people would actually notice. But it's no threat, why bother? hmm

Re: Please delete this post.

That's a misconception. Sure, nothing may seem to be going on, but who said that's all there is to it? I'm not trying to incite fear, but just "peeking out the window and seeing nothing" for a situation that's still in its early stages is no reason to call it "non-threatening".

There's a fine line between being aware of the situation, and denying the potential events that could happen later (i.e. ignorance). A lot of people in this thread really like to hover right on this line. If I asked some of you to reword your reasoning, it might sound like you do acknowledge the whole situation (e.g. RDX, Aicebo), but for those of you who actually don't believe it exists from evaluating the situation at present, I think you just have the wrong attitude. It's not a "game" in which the media's trying to "fake out" on you. The media exist for you to be informed, and of course you can choose what's relevent and what's not. But I think it would be unwise to ignore the calls for awareness of an epidemic regardless of its potency. If the flu didn't even reach your town, so be it. At least you knew, but you haven't lost anything from "being fooled by the media" if some of you would like to put it that way. I'm just stating this to the more ignorant people. Most of you are better than that.

plus we shouldn't worry about the Swine flu just be gald you don't have it right now, (just live life like it was your last) I think that was a metaphor not quiet sure. But enjoy life now instead of later. smile

All of you no longer have to worry about that problem.

i was on (you are all going to hate me) World of warcraft and Swine Flu is on there aswell. if you have it you can pass it on to different people. Its not deadly in game and not that deadly here.

Re: Please delete this post.

Yep Swine flu in World of warcraft. Everyone talked about it for about 2 hours. I think it was abit sad that people put it in and talked about it for 2 hours. they have no lives outside World of warcraft.

Re: Please delete this post.

So are people just talking about it or did Blizzard actually put it in the game?

Re: Please delete this post.

Youve got to be lying if Blizzard wanted to put a disease into there game they would call it the plauge or something like that.

I'm watching the Vermont border with my .22 just to make sure none of them get into my yard.

Re: Please delete this post.

...No. Swine flu will be comparable to foot and mouth. A few will die, bt the overeaction will stop huge deaths.

It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.
