How come that 90 people get swine flu and suddenly everybody wants to wear surgical masks but 1 mill people have AIDS and nobody wants to wear a condom?

Their are many types of flu. I don't know if the results you saw were worldwide or what but all I know is that a lot more die from it then this little issue that everyone is so worked up about.

Everyone's worked up not because of the current number of deaths, but what age group the flu is targeting. It targets younger people, particularly around age 17 and up. The normal flu targets the elderly and very young children, of which they would have a lower immune system. We still don't know a lot about the swine flu; less info leads to more questions and worries.

I'm still pretty sure that kids in that age group get more cases in regular flu then just the swine flu. Heck every winter I see dozes upon dozens of people with the flu. To me their is absolutely no reason to by hyping this.

Close down the freaking border and don't allow travel their for a set amount of time and the problem will be lessened.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww man!!!!!!!!! Now here this Spyroforum. I apparently don't deserve to go on living due to the word of someone who continues to claim she has a make believe polka band marching down the street.

So if I seem to disappear in the next few days please just remember that it was because of the dreaded Swine Flu and the belief that I'm just such a bad guy that I went and offed myself.

plus we shouldn't worry about the Swine flu just be gald you don't have it right now, (just live life like it was your last) I think that was a metaphor not quiet sure. But enjoy life now instead of later. smile

Swine flu is a joke compared to the normal flu. The symptoms are not as bad.

As I said earlier, the focus of the swine flu is not on symptoms or death count, but the age group it targets as well as simply the potential to kill and become an epidemic. Actually, the biggest downside is probably the negative effect it has on several international economies (e.g. Mexico's tourist industry, Canada's pork industry). We can't make full judgements on the whole situation until the whole thing is over.

I dont know wht to think of it. On one hand it looks like it has the potentioul to be a danegerous epedemic but in the other the media is making such a big fuss over it as if they want us to panic.
