The Laste of Little Spyro...?

Since Spyro's a teenager in DotD, do you think we'll ever see little Spyro again in future games? By the looks of the fans, everyone else would want to see more of teen Spyro and not little Spyro anymore...Guess our favorite little purple dragon is finally growing up.

I like the fact that they made him a teenager for his 10th anniversary and for Spyro fans that are growing up, but is the original trilogy, ANB, and TEN the last appearance we see of Spyro's younger self?

In the first ever Spyro game.. He was like 9/10. In TLOS he was a teenager.. I think they should keep him as a teenager for a while because I don't want to see my favourite Purple Dragon grow up.

Interesting question... true he has grown up as time has gone on, would be nice to see some young Spyro games again. Honestly, I miss the way gems would be scattered all over the floor like in the non LoS games. I would like to see that return. I found that kinda fun to find all the scattered gems on each level.

*Shudder*, Spyro was loved for his cuteness and..... his... Squishiness? Anyway, They might put young spyro back in the games, or they might continue with teen Spyro, we just don't know.

Probably yes but it depends. If they continuue TLOS, most likely they'll keep him a teenager (or find some stupid reason why hes small again). If they decided to go back to the originals i guess they could make him small again.

I dunno, I honestly dont care if Spyro stays as a quirky little dragon. He was sort of stuck at 13 until DOTD (The old Spyro seemed around that age) so until TEN I wasn't Spyro's age yet. So that is probably why Spyro being that young in the Old games i didn't find to be a problem.

I think DOTD was trying to be Spyro's last attempt at survival. They threw everything at it they could in a year. Free flight, Spyro getting older, Co-op. Such a shame it failed. But really, the only way you could be "growing up" with Spyro is if you were 12/13 at the time of ANB, so I dont know what they mean by that!

The whole teenage Spyro thing was Sierra's idea, probably to draw in an audience that grew up with Spyro.

I think we might see him in future Spyro games, where he can free-fly, even if he has wings smaller than his body.

I bet that in the upcoming Spyro games, he will just be a secondary character with nothing from the old games left in him...

I wouldnt be surprised if it would turn out to be a Legend of Cynder after all...

Doubtful. Cynder still doesn't have that same level of name recognition, which they're obviously counting on (else they wouldn't have made it Legend of Spyro, it'd be some other dragon).

Little Spyro could maybe appear in the next Spyro games, along with little Cynder, they could still have their powers and abilities, and free-flight.

if they just do another timeless storyline like the originals, yes i'd like to see little Spyro again. =P but if they do another story that follows a timeline, like TLOS, i wouldn't mind Spyro being little, but then him growing up by the end.

I really enjoyed the LoS Trillogy, but i want the cute little classic Spyro back. The older Spyro Games are much more fun to play. More Platforming Elements, more Quests and not to much fighting.

Well seeing as how they are still supposedly the same age as they were in ANB and TEN, I guess that it would depends on the developers for the next game. I'm sure that now that EL introduced an older look to begin with, the next group of developers will want to build upon that image.

Can't really say much about it until we find out if another game is coming out an who will be creating it.

I found an interesting theory of Spyro by a friend of mine.

Ignitus and the Chronicler couldn't find Spyro in the book of the dead...or anywhere else. He was in the heart of the world at the end of DotD and he gave up all of himself to allow the world to live, which means he is a part of the world itself until it ends. And since he is no longer quite alive but certainly not dead, that means he will always be the child he was at that time.

Probably doesn't make sense, huh?

Thats an interesting theory...
the trilogy is over, so they can back to the original games (wich has nothing to do with the trilogy, so its possible he to be a child again) or make another game based on the trilogy with teen spyro.
I think its more possible them to make teen spyro, cause most people want it that way...

and agree with dexter when he said taht enjoyed the LoS Trillogy, but want the cute little classic Spyro back. The older Spyro Games are much more fun to play. More Platforming Elements, more Quests and not to much fighting roll

They have stated that most likely they will move on with the characters and the story that they have not introduced. I wouldn't mind seeing the old games come back but I just really doubt that it would happen. Sierra won't let it happen I'm pretty sure.

Even then if it did happen we better pray that it falls into the hands of a good developer unless we want to see another ETD situation.

Well, if Sierra want to keep Spyro a teenager since they started the 'growing up thing', then it's fine by me, as long as they don't screw anything else up. Little Spyro should at least appear again as a game skin for an extra feature.
