Gems - Do they matter?

Yah, so I've been thinking about the gems you get for posts here on Spyroforum.

So, does the quantity of gems really matter to you?

Not really to be honest, if they did matter to me i wouldn't spam so much on the spam section of the forum.

They serve no important important significance really. There just things you get when you post at least that's how I few it. And to awnser MarioSpyro's question. Spam is something someone posts that's totally random. Or not important to the topic at hand. So that's why we have the Spam section for such things.

Also each time you post on the SPAM section you loose 10 gems each time you post on it.

(so basically that means I do care about how many gems I have) (I love my gems) (I want more gems sooo) (idk) (I should stop writing stuff in brackets now...) Ok now thats a perfect example about the brackets thing about spam i think, also you can get your gems back by posting on a topic so losing 10 gems dosent mattter really, well not im my opinon anyway.

So, anyway, how does this Gems thing work??? I mean, u gain a certain number of gems according to your post, or there is a specific number for each section or something??

The number of gems depends on how much you have written in a post, the maximum amount of gems that you can get a total off is 75 no matter how much you write.

Spyro master can i ask you are anyone else who knows what happed if you have 30 gemes but you post on the spam fourms 3 time then you are about to post again, what happends??

Now thats interesting. I don't know to be honest but i can make a guess what happens.
1. It dosent let you send the post
2. It lets you send the post but your gems go into minus numbers.

Otherwise i don't know.

I think it's a pretty neat feature on the forum. I have to say, I never saw another forum with a count up of anything when you post either than your post count.
I also find it a funny way to prevent annoying one word posts. I see the gaining gem feature a way for people WANTING to post more. xD Well for people who like to raise their gem count.

I believe your gem count will stay at 0. Most likely, it will not go into
negative numerals. In reality, I don't worry about gems too much. I neve
use them for anything, except for giving away.

They don't really do anything, so I don't care about them much. We were going to have them used for something but never really got around to it.

Yeah, they basically just sit there. You mods and Spyrorocks should create and sticky a topic where fellow members can post ideas about what to do with gems. Then you guys could act on the best idea(s).

There was something i heard a long time ago where you could buy items from money bags shop which werent banners or avatars. But like Stormy said no-one got round to it.

Ah, I neither pay attention to gems nor post count. I just post whenever I feel like it, and I don't judge people based on either - I judge them by what they post.
