Movies of 2009
So there are a crap ton of movies coming out this year and I 'm interested in what you might think of how will some of them be..
Being a movie freak that can't live without movies. I can say something about the movies coming in this year..
To start everything off I'll say it(and petty much everyone who read the TF thread knows what I'm going to say) : Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen is going to SUCK! HARD!
Now that that is out of my system
Let's see......hmmmm I saw the teaser trailer for the G.I.Joe movie...it looks rather good I believe it will be better than the TF movie and not being a big fan of G.I.Joe series I probably won't mind some of the changes in designs and stuff...so yeah I'm looking forward to G.I.Joe rise of the Cobra
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pqpz2qRw … re=related
YO-JOE
Anyways moving on we have the this one that almost got me a heart attack when I heard the it was going to be made and that is DragonBall Evolution.....
From the moment I heard it I said ti myself "This is going to suck" and after seeing the trailer I 'm even more convinced in that. The movie looks like Matrix meets Mortal Combat VS Star Wars if it turns out good then I don't know!
The movie I'm hyping like hell thought is Terminator Salvation - The Future Begins. Being a huge Terminator fan(I even liked the third movie so yeah that pretty much tells everything) I seriously can't wait for this to come to cinemas! It's going to be great!!!
The next movie that I have mixed feelings is Saw VI....what can I say they make a new movie every year that can't be good! The first was good but that's it it just gets ridiculous later.....
And I think I'll end it here since I can go on about this for hours.....
So what are you thoughts about the upcoming movies, what move do you think is going to be good and which is going to be bad?
P.S. Also f**K the re-makes! F**K them! It;s the typical Hollywood "We need lots of cash NOW! What do we do re-make a movie that DOESN'T EVEN NEED A RE-MAKE! Screw them!
P.S.S. I can bet that this thread will be forgotten and abandoned very quickly because it doesn't have anything to do with "dragons"

Re: Movies of 2009
Thank you for stating the obvious and for not helping the topic at all, thank you very much!
Anyways today Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li was released. Being a SF fan I can't wait to see it but I don't have high hopes for it...
It will be better than the old movie that is certain but will it be good as a movie and as a SF movie I don't know I have mixed feelings I'll just wait a little more and see...

Re: Movies of 2009
9 is going to be awesome! Since i LOVE Tim Burton's style and it looks like pretty much like the most epic CGI movie up to now. I can't wait to see it and that is really something (since I'm fed up with the CGI movie and refuse to see 90% of the new ones coming)
I watched the trailer for like 20 times and it gets me hyped every time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFyx8WvG … re=related
It is also based on an old short film from 2005 also titled 9, everybody should watch it it's in my opinion the best short animated movie I ever saw...

Wow! 9 really looks awesome. Didn't even know about untill know though, but now I'm bound see it when it comes out, I really love all Tim Burtons movies, so why should this be an exception? :-P
Anyway, also looking forward to Terminator: Salvation and the new Transformer movie, I really hope they'll be good.

Re: Movies of 2009
I forgot about that movie....have not read the books in a long time but Angels and Demons was my favorite. Gonna be interesting to see how they make that book into a movie.

What is it nowadays with games being turned into movies...

Re: Movies of 2009
I don't like most of them either...the only ones I can tolerate once in awhile are movies based upon books....but even then they usually don't turn out very well.

I have not heard of any plans to make Eldest into a movie.....and if they keep things the way they were before....I sure hope to heck that they don't.

I've heard that a movie called "You and I" is going to be out in the USA in March and I'm hoping that I could see that in theatres when it's out.

Re: Movies of 2009
I don't think they are going to go ahead and make Eldest. I know you have to edit the story of any book-film adaptation, but they outright slaughtered it. Some of the things they omitted from the film, we now know are essential to Brisingr and later books. They would have to either redo the film, or spend like half an hour of Eldest filling in the plotholes to get back to the basic storyline. But, I'm not going to rant about that now....
The film I want to see is 'Newt', a Pixar film that is in production. I also want to see 'Bolt', as that's only just been released in theatres here in the UK.

[This is your choice to do, so do not get me in trouble for 'making' you do this.]
This is what I did. I downloaded Vuse, then got Bolt. I really like that
movie. Now, I have it in my iTunes movie library, so I can watch it on my
iPod. But you would have to convert the file format first, so it could be
added on iTunes.
First, click on the "Vuse" link below to download Vuse. Open up Vuse when
done downloading. Come to this post and click on the second link to get
Bolt. Enjoy your movie.
