The legacy of Jack Thompson continues...
I'm sure at least a few of you here remember Jack Thompson.
Just to fill in those who don't, he's a grandstanding lawyer, who made video games his lifetime crusade, saying violence in video games caused real violence.
He tried to ban many video games, and finally has been disbarred, due to his abusive actions and flat out lies.
Here in my town, there is a group associated with Thompson, due to Thompson being a "real Christian." (His words.)
They are picketing stores that sell videogames, trying to have the ones on their list banned.
One set of those games they want banned is all the "Spyro" games.
ALL of them? Yes.
Why? Because in their version of the Bible, dragons are all evil.
And Spyro sure isn't.
Their real purpose is to gain publicity, and get donations, naturally.
But do you like Mario Brothers? On their list, since Mario uses magic.
Any game with zombies on it? On their list.
Anything not human a hero? On their list.

Seriously?
(pickets near the picketers with a "You fail" sign)
Oh great, my lighthouse is on fire again, be right back...

They think they are being serious, but just about anyoen who isn't shaking their heads at them, is laughing at the protestors.
