What annoys you?

Just a general type of poll.

So what irritates you in real-life and on the internet?

In real-life, stupidity towards me is just plain annoying. On the net, it's spam that never stops. GAH.

I can think of a lot of things....

*People who type in chatspeak/textspeak. It's illegible and just makes you sound unintelligent. Most of my friends in real life do this.
*When someone starts a conversation with me on MSN or whatever and then they don't actually want to talk to me at all. Anything I say they just respond with a one-word response, like "lol" or something. I mean really, if they're just going to do that, why did they bother to contact me in the first place?
*Those "popular" people who constantly gossip about who is going out with whom, where they went shopping last night, etc.
*Grammatical errors... in published literature. I'm used to it on the internet by now, but stuff like that always jumps out at me when I'm reading.
*TLoS. It's the most stereotypical epic-dragon story ever.
*Arrogance. In other words, people who act like they're the supreme ruler of the universe when they're really, well, not.
*Internet posers. This includes people claiming to be the "real Miley Cyrus" or to have "met Spyro/Cynder/insert-LoS-character-here in real life". This also includes people who go around saying that they're "emo" or "prep" and do everything they can to fit that particular label.
*Pretty much anything that little girls like these days, be it Hannah Montana, High School Musical, "Bratz," whatever. Stuff like that is pretty much ruining our society. Along with that goes all the little kids who think they have to act like teenagers and have boyfriends, wear makeup, have cell phones, etc.
*People who argue with me and refuse to acknowledge when I've made a point that they can't dispute. They just repeat the same illogical arguments over and over, and when it finally hits them that they've lost, they say something like, "I'm right, and you know it, but I don't want to talk about this anymore." Argh.

Tl;dr: Lots of things annoy me. tongue

Gahh some people do that sometimes to me, I always try to talk to my one of my friends on FB and he just says things like "Nice" "cool" "lol" "no" "yes" and all that jazz...I mean I ask him questions and stuff too and 3/4 the time he doesn't even reply! -___-

It's a very stereotypical view. Although that said, I don't know any boys capable of playing with minds (except myself) or manipulating very well. It's a talent, but perhaps girls are raised with more value placed on friends, and therefore they need to be able to use friends well.

Well It would depend on the girl...but I have always seen a very big difference between a friend and an aquaintance....take my own sister for example....she considers everyone she meets her "Friend"....and she has about 500 friends ya know lol.....3/4 of them she doesn't even talk to....then you have me who has about 4 close friends who I know would do anything for me or be there for me if I needed them....

All I know is that she is perfectly willing to play mind games with her friends and everyone else lol....and she certainly talks about her "friends" plenty behind their backs....so yes I believe that girls are a little more prone to having that trait....but certainly not all of them. I have met many who are fiercely loyal and trustworthy...so it would depend.....but overall I feel they are more prone to it.

On-line: people who think I do free art, requests for free art, art thieves, obnoxious fans of *insert book series and/or fictional character here*.

I hate...

-Leetspeak (Not in the joking around way, I mean, people who seriously think that leetspeak is a good way to type)
-Chatspeak
-Teachers that abuse the fact that their word is valued more than the word of the students
-Teachers that like to seat me at the back of the room
-Teachers that pick on me
-People in Halo showing off their new armor
-Mods that abuse their powers (no, I'm not accusing anyone here, I've been to a lot of forums with this problem)
-Nepotism
-Racism
-Executives being rewarded with taxpayer money for screwing up the economy
-Mary Sue characters
-Death By Newbery Medal
-People who think a tragic ending is automatically a good ending (sure, not everything should be happy, but so many writers seem to think this)
-People that beat me in any video game by luck (no, not just "I messed up here, you were lucky", I mean, 100% PURE LUCK, or at least luck that allowed them to finish me off.)
-People that think they're God's gift to mankind
-People that bash religion
-People that think a game is good just because it has 500,000 different weapons

A bunch of other stuff.

Well at my school most girls seem to say things about their friends behind their back, however there is a small group of girls i sometimes chat to in my rural class who ive gotten to know who dont however, oh yeh and i will add racists and people who think they are funny but are just plain annoying.

There's probably more, but these are the one's I can think of off the top if my head.

In real life:
-The "cool" people, who think they're better than everyone else.
-Homework from all classes in the same day
-Having all my boring classes in one quarter at school.

^All about school. XD

On the Internet:
-Chatspeak (a little bit is okay...but if you can type normally, why not try and sound smart?)
-Trolls on forums
-Spammers that won't go away
-Obsessive fans of games/books

i think im included for chatspeak if you at my older comments before i was well lets say "encouraged" lol, by certain people to change my typing style it worked though and im glad they did smile Also i know wot u mean by the "cool" people it seems to: people who either do sports, people who have way to big egos, or are into drugs or smoking, or finally think they are the funniest person on earth which they are not.

I forgot to add one thing that annoys me: my web design class, especially the teacher. We have to make web pages in Dreamweaver instead of actually coding them out, and, even worse, the teacher won't shut up gloating about how much faster and better Dreamweaver is than writing html. ("See, coders, didn't I do that faster than you could write that all out!?") She's in love with the stupid program.

And that's not the worst part; she recently got some software that takes over everyone's monitors so she can interrupt our work and show us demos of her precious Dreamweaver. I swear, I'd get twice as much work done if she'd just demo on the overhead and I could do it along with her. But no, she has to start up the program every five minutes ("I'm comin' in!") and mock everyone who thinks it's annoying ("Oh, no, Ms. Meckley, don't do it! I hate when you take over my computer!").

Dreamweaver and Senteo both need to die. And Ms. Meckley needs to be replaced with a more competent teacher. Blarg.

i hate selfish brute people. I stoped playing MMORPGs because of PEOPLE there <_< they were getting me crazy!!! just a pile of spoiled children.
In real life it isnt different, but i dont usually live with people like that, so that isnt a problem at all...

also loose people, who listen to much loud music when ure trying to study next room, or pass trough the corridor screaming at dawn when ure sleeping (i live in a university condominium, so u can imagine)

i also hate "barbie girls".

oh, and also computer stuff... i hate computers!! (almost broke one today because it wasnt doing what i ordered it to do auhauhauhsudhasdg)
