Easy Guide to a Newbery Award
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M … wberyMedal
Here's the sad thing... it's all true. That article really got me thinking. It saddens me that instead of making an original story, authors have to repeat a story that's been told 1000 times, only using different characters, to get an award, and they still get it. (As the article said, Shiloh was good because it didn't just take the easy way to a medal.)
