Re: Spyro:Legacy of Ages movie

Jamieque created the idea of the movie I think 2006 or earlier, and originally planned the release date as 2008, Since, the movie has been delayed more and more but by now, I think it's been canceled

Re: Spyro:Legacy of Ages movie

Legacy of Ages was to be a fan-created movie. I'm not sure if it's still in progress, but the forum is no longer there because we felt that it was sort of unfair for other members who had fan games/movies planned that just that one movie got its own forum. The Legacy of Ages forum is now visible to only moderators.

Re: Spyro:Legacy of Ages movie

Attention!!!

The Legacy of Ages film is still being made. Heck, the whole trilogy of films is still being worked on. So don't fear. As to the forum being gone. I am sure it will return once the first trailer and new info is released. The target release date is still November 25, 2009 unless I make an announcement that the date has been changed.

So with luck the film is still on scheduled along with the various other animated Spyro projects in the production pipeline.

Re: Spyro:Legacy of Ages movie

I am glad I was able to make you feel better, grievous16. The film is coming along and it is looking better and better as work on it procedes. I really wish I could show everyone the trailer of the footage that has been done so far but it is still somewhat rough. I have to say that I like the direction that me and my team have decided to take Spyro in storywise.

NEW INFO...

- Spyro the Dragon in Legacy of Ages is 17 years old now.
- 3 years have past since A Hero's Tale ended and he has been away training hard with the Peace Keepers.
- The film will feature some brand new elements that have never appeared in any of the Spyro the Dragon games.
- Also, ladies and gentlemen, the storyline of the films are much more complex then I can explain right now. Let's just say that the problems with merging Legend of Spyro and the original Spyro have been solved and just leave it at that.

- Also, Ember and Flame, who everyone knows by now are also in the films, are also much older. However, due to some changes in both the focus and storyline the films a few new scenes featuring a new character have been added to the overall story. Also, expect a few more interesting...

Surprises... heh heh...

- Spyro has some new battle moves and yes... he will be able to fly in the film. The days of Spyro gliding on air currents are now a thing of the past. He is older and it just makes sense to give him the ability to fly now. Also, expect a much more mature personality for the legendary purple dragon himself. Don't worry just because he is more mature doesn't mean that he has lost his old character charm. He is just more cautious and takes his time to think before he jumps into battle situations. However, he still has his cocky streak and tough guy mentaility.

- As for Flame and Ember... they have undergo some major improvements. Ember is now more reserved and can control her emotions when it comes to Spyro. What about her relationship with Bandit? It ended on friendly terms. Ember just felt that she and Bandit were a bad match but she remains his friend. Bandit, who won't appear in the first film but may appear in a cameo appearance in the second film, also agreed with Ember that their relationship wouldn't work out. He has decided for the time being to not seek out a companion. Instead he has decided to head off for a life of adventure.... (which will bring him face to face with Prince Lucas of the Gryphon Clan in the future). As for Ember, she has mellowed out and will now serve as a voice of reason and strength for Spyro when he feels like he has lost his way as a hero.

- As for Flame... Flame has become Nestor's personal assistant in the elder's small library. He helps the elder dragon keep his collection of books and artifacts in good condition. Yes, Flame has become a little nerdish but not so much so that it makes him dull. These new changes will make him a much more interesting counterbalance to Spyro and Ember.

- The elder dragons now have the ability to shift their forms back and forth between their two legged form to four legged forms. Also, due to some changes I can't go into yet the elders will look somewhat different from their original selves in the games.

- The magic of the world is also going to be a little different. Also, the world itself has been re-imaged as in it looks different. Some locations will be new while others that come from the games have been updated to more modern look.

- Also, Ethan, Carla's brother will cameo in the film now whereas he didn't before in the older draft version of the original script of the film.

- The Oracle of Lore is now identified as an elder female Dream Weaver dragoness who is the childhood friend of Spyro's mother, Sky.

- Speaking of Spyro's mother... she will cameo in the film as a memory from Spyro's earliest memories as a hatchling.

- Yes... there will be a short emotional moment in the film between Spyro and Ember in which Ember will confront Spyro about the past feelings she had for him. Which will lead to a rather touching moment at the end of the film.

- Darkus the Doom Dragon from Spyro: Dragon of Destiny will also cameo in the film in a rather interesting way. Also, there will be some other surprises.

That is all the info I can share with you guys for now until I can decide when to hold the 'SNEAK PEEK' week in which I will launch a series of BEHIND THE SCENES glimpses at the all 3 films as well as first look at the new designs of the older Spyro, Ember, Flame and their friends. Also, I plan to give everyone what they have long been waiting for...

The exclusive FIRST film trailer of Legacy of Ages which will allow everyone a chance to finally see the older Spyro and his friends in action. Trust me when I say that one of Spyro's new attacks known as the Pulse Wave is just freaking awesome. I want to describe it but I won't. Though I am tempted. Plus it will shed some light on the mysterious plot of the film.

That is all the info for now...

STAY TUNED FOR MORE...
