My thoughts on Proposition 8
For those who don't know. Prop 8 was about banning gay marriage in California. It passed. It was made illegal for gay people to marry in California.
I am absoloutly disgusted, angry and downright hurt by this news. People seem to forget the true meaning of marriage. It's about love. NOT gender. They say marriage is about a man and woman having children.
Oh really? So, if I was straight BUT infertile, does that mean that I'm not allowed to get married cause I can't have children? They might as well ban marriage for infertile couples..or interracial couples...
When I heard this news, I cried..I was so hurt that ANYONE would think it's okay to take away peoples rights just because they are different. They say they are 'protecting marriage and protecting children.'. NO!! I see it as nothing but hatred.
I have had enough of hatred. If anything is wrong in this world, then it's HATRED.
STOP THE HATE!!!
The LoS series did NOT ruin the fandom. Nor would a Spyro movie ruin it. The fans are doing that themselves by their constant whining and complaining about small, idiotic things. It's the Sonic fandom all over again.

Re: My thoughts on Proposition 8
I agree with that...that's just horrible.
Would you rather have two people get married that hate eachother or would you rather have to homosexual people that love eachother?
People are morons.

Re: My thoughts on Proposition 8
This whole thing deeply hurts me because I myself am bisexual. and when I hear about rights being taken from gay people I become scared that I'll have rights taken from me.
This is one of many reasons why I became Wiccan. Cause in Wicca religion, love is pure no matter what form it takes.

In some states they're trying to ban gays from even being able to adopt children.

Re: My thoughts on Proposition 8
I heard about that. Now THAT is insulting. They trying to say that gay people make bad parents. BULL!!
I have a friend who is gay. She has a partner who is a mother. They are both fantastic mothers. Your sexuality should not effect your parenting skills.

Re: My thoughts on Proposition 8
Gay people can adopt children because they can't give birth (unless it's two women and they go to a sperm bank), and they can still have a great family.
I like girls and guys, so that's insulting to me too...

-___-
Liking someone is when every time you see them you just get so happy, when you can't quit thinking about them, you've known them for a long time, and they make you happy.
I feel that way about someone.
That's a girl.
OK?
No one can tell me when I can and can't like someone. I'm not going to listen to all the crap people say because I know in my heart that I really like this person to no end.
And if by puberty you mean periods, yes, I have. I've been having them for awhile now. -___-

Gay people lost out on this election pretty bad. Its a shame we can elect a black guy to the highest office in the land, but god forbid gay people get married.

I have pleanty of friends who make me happy and are of the same gender, that's not what bisexuality, heterosexuality, or homosexuality is. The key to all of those is in the name, sexuality. And you're still too young to "get" that.
Puberty doesn't mean periods, it's an entire cycle that lasts well into your teen years.

...I've been attracted to boys and girls since I was 12...I am also sick of people saying 'your too young to understand'
BULLCRAP!!! Thats practically saying that kids are stupid. I may not like kids when it comes to the internet, but they ain't as stupid as we think. Infact, you'll find that half the time, kids understand these things better than adults.

What are you talking about? Aeicbo isn't older than me, she's 11 years old and probably has a very tenuous grasp of what sexuality even means.
Liking somebody does not mean you are _____sexual. The very term is sexual attraction. It's not rocket science, all I'm saying is that 11 years old is way too young to know anything about your own sexuality at that point.
Jesus christ is it that hard of a concept.

It's called puberty, if you want to stick your ears and ignore simple biological concepts then go right ahead.

o_0 I always thought Aicebo was older. Gamegirl is 19, according to her profile.
I knew I was a heterosexual when I was like five. I don't see much of a difference.

I really don't think you should pretend to know what's going on in someone else's life.
My thought on this issue: I don't really see why they have to be legally married. Isn't marriage a religious ceremony anyway?
I am absoloutly disgusted, angry and downright hurt by this news. People seem to forget the true meaning of marriage. It's about love. NOT gender. They say marriage is about a man and woman having children.

It isn't just about having children. I believe it has been proven that children brought up by two moms, or two dads don't do as well. They lack the bringing up of the other gender in their life. Not to mention that they would be in a very awkward place if they were asked about their Mom/Dad that doesn't exist.

heterosexual's root word is sexual, meaning sexual attraction.
5 year olds don't have sexual attraction.

Re: My thoughts on Proposition 8
How to put this in a way that does not anger anyone...
My religion is anti-homosexuality... however, I do not really care whether or not homosexuals have the right to marry or not.
However, i do believe that if they don't have marriage, then they should have civil unions.
