I have noticed that a lot of people today don't like writing poetry or aren't very interested in it. I myself happen to love reading poetry as well as writing it. Just by a show of paws, dragon claws, and hooves, how many like writing as well as reading poetry? lol just kidding. This is just one of my poems. Feel free to post any of your own poems. I'd love to read them. Hope you enjoy it. ^_^

Time passes,
time is lost.
Hearts have gashes,
and eyes are frost.
Souls wander areound,
others are in strife.
Their footsteps have no sound,
leaving no sign of life.

Okay I suppose I could post a villanelle I wrote for english. It sucks so beware.

A mighty dragon roars with elements of pain
His truly fearsome power incomparable and undying
Many mourn the losses left by his hellish rain

Canâ€™t help but wonder why, for what has he to gain
By leaving families homeless, scared, unsure, and crying
A mighty dragon roars with elements of pain

The awesome creature scorned, for all he brings is bane
They attempt to rebuild their lives, but know thereâ€™s no point in trying
Many mourn the losses left by his hellish rain

Bow to him for he rules all, is what he seems to ordain
The people fall in reverence when overhead heâ€™s flying
A mighty dragon roars with elements of pain

They do not dare fight him for what was their domain
Knowing resistance brings only death when his unspoken law theyâ€™re defying
Many mourn the losses left by his hellish rain

The fact that they will live in fear until his death is plain
Helplessly they watch his rampage, through bolted windows spying
A mighty dragon roars with elements of pain
Many mourn the losses left by his hellish rain

it has no underlying messages and link to anyones deepest feelings that they would never share with the outside world so it's not really poetry.
It just rhymes is all.

Å½ Â· I don't like reading, but I like writing poems up, it's just that sometimes my mind blocks out the good words to input into the lines, and I usually don't make a good poem, so I won't try by actually posting one here, heh. When I write, I write stories. I usually don't do poems. Heck, I can write a monologue, but I can't write a decent poem.

awww thanks flames. I love it when I get a comment on my poetry. Normally people don't read them. They just skim then and say"That was good" or "Yeah" and I'm like well you didn't even read the poem. Ugh, it gets me aggravated sometimes. But thanks flames*hugs tight* That really means a lot to me.

To me, a good poet is one at heart no matter how good their poetry is. ^.^ And you my friend, are a good poet to me. I can tell by your personality. lol and I'm not trying to creep you out or anything. I'm just being honest and trying to put what my heart tells me too. ^_^

I wish more poets would step up, most are scared off by critics who critisize {and those who critisize cannot do any better roll }. But the thing with poetry is that it is a showing of the heart, and some people can tell if the heart is in the writing, and the others are the critics
