Old or new Spyro?
Which voice do you like better for Spyro, Tom Kenny (most of the old Spyros) or Elijah Wood (new Spyro)? And also which Spyro looks best?

Re: Old or new Spyro?
I actually thought Carlos Alazraqui, voice of Spyro in the very first game, suited Spyro better than both Tom Kenny and Elijah. It just had that charming growly tone and sounded the perfect age.

Re: Old or new Spyro?
I liked the voice of Spyro from Ripto's Rage and YotD. I don't think Elijah Wood's voice suits Spyro.

Re: Old or new Spyro?
Yeah, I've kinda gotten used to Elijah's voice, but I think Tom Kenny's voice suited Spyro better.

Re: Old or new Spyro?
I liked Spyro's look and voice form the old games more. As for which voice actor was better... I don't know. Both Carlos Alazraqui and Tom Kenny did a great job.

Re: Old or new Spyro?
Voicing?
Tom Kenny: Definitely a good voice, but failed to put any kind of emotion into his acting.
Elijah Wood: Shaky in some parts, but puts a lot of emotion and effort into his role. Voice fits the character well.
(Carlos Alazraqui and Jess Harnell plain sucked IMO, so they get no comments from me -.- )
Winner to me: Elijah Wood.
Looks? Hmmm... I like all his models(Except AHT and EtD's), but... DotD's is the best IMO.

I like Tom Kenny's voice best. Elijah Wood is ok but I think Tom Kenny suited better. Carlos Alazraqui was good too.

Re: Old or new Spyro?
On looks, I'd say the new Spyro is cuter, but the old Spyro is older looking.

I think you have it mixed up.
Old Spyro= Insomniac Spyro
New Spyro= tLoS Spyro
Also this thread is about which voice is better, not which is better in general....=P

Sorry, I didn't know you started the thread. I guess I didn't read the entire thing.
I just thought you wouldn't have called Insomniac Spyro older looking, but that could have just been a simple mistake.
Just...nevermind. -_-

Re: Old or new Spyro?
Old Spyro is the best in my opinion. ^^ The new Spyro's okay too, though! :3
The voices, I really can't decide. They both have a certain charm to them. :3

Re: Old or new Spyro?
I prefer Tom Kenny to Elijah Wood, and the old look to the new one. Spyro's LoS look is really cool, but the Insomniac look was more cartoony and fun, which I prefer. Elijah brings a nice feel to the character, but his version of Spyro feels too soft at times, whereas Kenny gave him a spunky attitude, while still making him a nice, earnest guy.
