I think my sister played it at her friend's house, and then she thought it was fun, so we bought it. I think that was around 8 years ago.

A good friend of mine was letting a group of us play 'A Hero's Tail' one day when we were waiting to go to the beach. I thought the Spyro series looked cool, so I looked around at the game shop and got 'A New Beginning.'

My friend used to have Spyro the Dragon around 8 years ago or something, I'd go to his house and play it. Some time after my dad finally bought me a PS1 and along with it he bought Spyro 2, my first video game EVER. That is why it was so good.

I got it bought for me, in something like 1999. The first game I got with my PS1 was the original Crash Bandicoot. Then I got Spyro the Dragon and also Crash Team Racing. Then my cousin got me into YOTD and I bought it soon after, she didn't have the second one (Gateway to Glimmer in the UK). So I bought it myself when I saw it in the shops. After that I got them in order on the years they came out. The only ones I don't have are ANB and the Gameboy Advance games (SOI and SOF, plus that funny Rhynoc one and Spyro Fusion (or orange)), but I have played on them.

I played some of the first one's but only really got serious about it after A New Beginning cam out, I think the old spyro was becoming too cocky for his own good.

Thats true Spyro was getting a bit cocky casue in a heros tale he was being to cocky about getting rewards form peopel 4 doing something

I think that was an original personality compared to his personality in TLoS. In TLoS he's just your stereotypical epic hero with no faults, or a "Gary Stu" as Aicebo would say. XD I think the cockyness is original and kind of cute. =]

And, no, that's not really true anyway. He was never rewarded for any of the tasks in StD. And in all the games after that, he was never personally rewarded; the rewards all went towards "saving the world". Like the dragon eggs, talismans, orbs, etc.
