Hunter's Age

In the cutscene before you fight Crush, Hunter says that his birthday is
2/2/75. If so, then he would be about 32 years old right now! yikes

(I only have the PSX Spyro games. If there is anything in current Spyro games that has to do with this topic, pleeeeaaaase tell me!O:))

Re: Hunter's Age

Maybe he has cat years. Does anybody here remember the equation for cat years? My brain is a little empty today.

Re: Hunter's Age

Okay...I got to clear this up. xD Hunter is a cheetah, and his birthday is 2/24/75...there is no 22nd month. So it is Feb. 24, 1975. Probably one of the developer's birthdays thrown in there.

Re: Hunter's Age

His cat aspect must be giving him another half-life in terms of fitness, if he's still so agile.

A runner reaches their peak early to mid twenties (their bodies have just come out of puberty, so the ageing process hasn't yet affected them.) Getting into your thirties, the ageing process starts to kick in (mid-life crisis, anyone?) and the body's fitness gradually decreases. This is the main reason most athletes retire very young in comparison to the average life-span, they can't keep up with younger athletes who aren't affected.

However, we ASSUME that the timeline in their world is the same as ours. Although, yes, it does have a date that falls in line with ours, we can not truly be sure that it is what we see it as (i.e. It may be 24th Feb 1975 to us, but it may be 24th of the month of the South, 9875AC.) This is compounded by the fact that we are not even aware of the year Spyro is set in, nor do we know how their calendar works.

At least, I think we don't. Tell me if there's proof otherwise.

Re: Hunter's Age

You read my mind about the calender. Who knows, maybe there are 16 months there.

I don't care how it looks but how it functions

Re: Hunter's Age

It could be:

2/24/75
Febuary 24th 1975

OR

22/4/75
April 22nd 1975

Re: Hunter's Age

Actually cat years are 1=4 or 1=5. But anyway, i think Hunter takes on human years seing hes an anthro. And besides, who said "75" mean 1975, and maybe years are shorter or longer there.

Re: Hunter's Age

i think the years are like human years as in regular solar years.also the game creators could have also just used that day because it was one of
their birthday and they are humans so it was probably a human year Febuary 24 1975(if it was 1875, wouldnt he be too old to even move?

Re: Hunter's Age

Firstly, he is anthro cat, not just a straight cat so we cant base him on cat years. Secondly we can not base the game on our own time

Re: Hunter's Age

Thirdly, he's a purely fictitious character in which things do not necessarily have to make total sense.
