DDR fans!
The 10th anniversary of DDR is on Nov. 21st! So in celebration, I made this!

It's ALMOST done. I'm just going to tweak it a little.
feel free to print it out and iron it on a shirt.....if you want. It's really not THAT great I guess. XD
You can also brag about your highest scores and such on here. ^^

Re: DDR fans!
Oh, oh that's me! XD
Anyway, I love DDR. Played it for 3 or 4 years. I can pass every song on heavy mode except one. : D (stupid Trip Machine Phoenix >_>)
Here's a score I'm pretty proud of:
I'm the AA on the left. The other score is Stormy on the controller.
Here's my first AAA on Heavy:

Yes, yes, I know... I take pictures of my DDR scores. I am just that lame I guess.

Re: DDR fans!
XD
I'm not too good at it. I've only been playing the arcade games. But I'll get a heck of a lot better with being able to play it at my house! XD The first games I'm getting are Extreme 2 and Supernova 2. Then I'll get DDR: X for x-mas.

Re: DDR fans!
[sub]Hahaha.
Here's one score I'm proud of: A on "Max 300" on Heavy. Not on the controller this time. XD If I could get an A then, I could probably get a AA now, but I don't play that game much anymore.
Now I play SuperNova 2, and the latest song I'm working on is "Unreal". I've done it about fifty times and the best I can get is a C. DDR_Maniac here starts playing again after months of being injured, and he gets a B. >______<

Re: DDR fans!
I used to play DDR a lot. I can't get good scores like everyone else does. People who I've taught DDR to now pass 12s on ITG rofl.
Some notable stuff I did in the past I guess was AA Xenon [heavy], AAA Air [heavy], FC So Deep [heavy]. I can read arrow patterns all fine, but I need more stamina.
I currently play a ton of beatmania IIDX, as well as some Drummania and Pop'n Music. They're all rhythm games as well. I also make a lot of simfiles for Stepmania.

Re: DDR fans!
Wow! I haven't played DDR in AGES! My cousin was so good at the "Move It" song on one of the old games, we attempted to do it backwards. (Best for backwards was a C, but im pretty satisfied XD)

Stepmania is okay, but you know, I sit on my butt in front of the computer enough already. XD I need something that's gonna get me up and moving. XD
Beatmania huh? I'll check that out, you can't have too many rhythm games! 8D

Re: DDR fans!
Wow, I didn't think there would be enough people that were DDR fans to participate in this thread. (That's why I never made one) I need to get back into playing DDR though. My next goal would be to be able to pass Paranoia Hades on Heavy in Supernova 2 every time I try it. Then probably move onto some of the fast BPM songs on Challenge. Now if only my DDR pad wouldn't keep acting up....

Re: DDR fans!
I even have a metal one too. This is our pad (without the bar on the back)
If you are really serious about playing, don't get the cheap foam pads. Me and Stormy have gone through at least 3 of those. >_>

Re: DDR fans!
We bought ours off Ebay for $140. I was a pretty good deal, seeing as those pads usually sell for $400-$500 anywhere else. I think you have to order metal pads off the internet; I haven't seen any in stores. You could always buy a more expensive foam pad, like one of these. (This is if you are really serious about playing it, and getting really good)

Re: DDR fans!
well, I'd like one that's less than 40 bucks, but not a real cheap one that's gonna break real quick. Can you suggest a pad for PS2?

Sorry if you don't like Ebay...I can't really find good deals anywhere else. I've had a lot of good luck on Ebay.

Re: DDR fans!
I'm sure it would work for a while. Some people have better luck with pads than others, at least from what I heard. If you want cheap, I'd go with that one, but if you want longer lasting I'd try one with the 1 inch foam in the middle. (Kind of like the ones I posted on the last page)

Re: DDR fans!
I think I'll go for cheap right now. mainly because I don't like to buy things over the internet unless it's from Amazon or some other site that I can trust.
But later on down the road I'll get a better one. XD

Re: DDR fans!
Yeah, that's probably the best idea now. I don't blame you; I wouldn't commit to buying an expensive pad if I didn't have a game yet, and if I wasn't sure how much I'd get into it.

$400-500 is waaay too much even for a metal pad. I got mine for around $200; I also saw a metal pad with a bar at a store for $300, and most of the items in that store is already overpriced, so spending half a grand on a pad is a ripoff.
BTW, RedOctane I think is known for some of the better pads out there.

Re: DDR fans!
you know, I DO have a sewing machine, mybe I could cut one side of the fabric open, and add in my own 1 inch layer of foam? Maybe that would make it last longer.

I don't think that would work so well. You might end up ruining the pad in the process. And the arrows on the foam pads are also re-enforced with more foam so you'd have to mess around with the sensors.

I have had bad experience with Red Octane DDR Pads. I bought this model, and within a week the back arrow was pressing itself. We returned it, think ing it was defective, and we got another. This one broke in 8 day--just one day after you can return the pad. So, I ended up wasted $100 on a piece of crap pad that didn't work.
I've got my metal pad up and working now though. It should be fine. Does anyone have a suggestion I could use for a bar on the back? I mean, I could be a lot more accurate on faster songs if I had a bar like the arcade machine does.

Re: DDR fans!
Yeah, that might work. Home Depot or something. All I really need is something sturdy that'll stand upright and act like a bar.
