Origami in popular culture?
I'm wondering about instances where origami was used in popular culture. By that I mean what movies, books, video games, comics, and TV shows use origami in some sort of prominent role. Is there anything in popular culture where there is sentient origami (it's an origami figure character that can think or speak) or has living origami (the origami figure can move on its own).
Is there anything at all where origami is alive/sentient/a character/used prominently in TV, Film, Books, Comics or Games? If so, what are all the instances you know of?
Thanks!

Re: Origami in popular culture?
Okay, that was the type of answer I was looking for. Do you have any links to any information about this comic online? I Googled it and all "DreamSpace" comes up with is a music album. When did this comic come out? Do you have any pictures for it or websites?
Thanks for the answer!

Re: Origami in popular culture?
Well, there was this one book where a girl was told that she could cure herself from radiation sickness by folding 1000 origami birds after the dropping of the atom bomb. She died before she folded them all.

Do you know the name of the book? XD And actually, that myth is common. The chain of 1,000 paper cranes. It was in Katamari Damacy among other things. What is the title of the book you're talking about, if you know?

I've read it too long ago to remember. I'll try to look it up, though.

Thanks, A Guy.
Savage - is this the site you're talking about?
So it's just a web based comic, then? Not published? Looks like it.
Thanks again, everyone. I know this is a weird question but it's for a project I'm working on! ![]()
