Below I'm gonna post something Doppel sent me, it doesnt prove his innocence or anything, if anything his claims that "you can't prove i did it" are generally believed to be the exclamations of a guilty party

However i do feel the behaviour of the parties involved were somewhat immature, if you want to ban someone, send them a reason and ban them, when you antagonise them as seen below, its just petty and childish.

In saying that, I have no way of knowing if this is an accurate copy, denial or confirmation from the people involved would help here.

INTERNET DRAMA ^

Since I don't know the full story of Doppel's supposed internet crimes, I'm not going to take sides. I can't say whether Doppel was naive of the whole situation or whether he knew better. I also can't say for sure that the ridicule that comprises +90% of this drama was appropriate or not, for the same reason I've stated above.

Stuff like "Shut yer sass hole boy" did make me raise eyebrows though. Same with the "what's wrong with changing IP" comments by Doppel.

The thing I really dislike, however, is the fact that the publicity of Doppels ban was encouraged to spread. Even though it's inevitable that Doppel's sudden lack of existence would raise questions, this chat excerpt shows that people here apparently love flogging a dead horse. That disgusts me. Leave the issue dead.

i disagree, if the ban had been made public in the first place its likely there would have been no questions asked, people might have disagreed with the decision, but oh well

the problem is that everything has been kept hushhush, in the past when people are banned an official notice was put in the ban list by spyrorocks, instead we find out by way of a snarky comment in a random thread

By "flogging a dead horse", I'm talking about this chat specifically. Of course there should have been a public notice on the ban list. I just think that whether or not making Doppel the laughing stock is appropriate or not, everything that went on in that chat is far from professionally handled. It just seems like an opportunity for raising your e-*bleep*s, especially the admin's, to demostrate that the admin could do anything with his site. And rightfully so, since he did make this site, but I would request a bit of professionalism here please - not just for me, but for everyone else browsing the forums and chatroom. I know you guys were trying to have a little fun here, but there are way better ways of having fun.

Doppel was using something known as Tor (The Onion Router) to hide his IP, creating accounts to insult SR. He taught others on his private forums to do so.

Now tell me, if you knew someone was doing that, wouldn't YOU ban them?

Doppel is actually in the wrong this time, and while Spyrorocks and Aicebo may not have handled it in the correct way (I don't think they should have invited him into the chatroom in the first place if they were just going to bash him), Doppel still does deserve the ban. He admitted to me himself that he used that TOR thing, making all him "you can't prove it was me" claims invalid.

It isn't like it was a year ago; trust me, it's much better now. I'm not going to go into much detail here, as it would almost certainly cause more trouble, but I'll give Spyrorocks this: he is sick of people complaining to him and sending him those annoying, childish messages. Yes, SR had every right to ban him, but, as people have said before, he could have done it in a professional way rather than luring him into the chat and humiliating him. A just sentence is one thing, but humiliation is taking it way too far. I don't approve of that method, honestly. He should simply stick to the "Ban List" thread in the "Site Feedback/Suggestions" section, post who, for how long, and the offense.
