Do any of you know what is happening to this forum?

This forum is getting a little screwed because it seams that the rules don't matter to any of you. Why blunder us with your caress words. I know i let alot of information out but that is not what bothers me.

I talked about the Spyro games that were replacing the old. Seriously if you guys hate the new than don't buy them otherwise don't go on and on with how they screwed up. I have been to Razzes Devin art cite and seen several people dissing us for our behavior. How do you feel about them talking about us this way?

We can change this if we can get enough people to keep this forum in good hands. The Moderators are seeming to have a hard time with controlling the language we use. If you have read the disclaimer than you know vary well that they have vary little control over what is said on here but don't let that discourage them or us for if we come together we can surely change peoples minds. Than we can make this forum popular. Don't let people talk so badly about us outside our forum without good reason.

In all seriousness, people here are overreacting. One little skirmish here and there does not necessarily equal a forum falling apart. Not everyone has to be Happy-Go-Lucky Sunshine and Candy friends in order to achieve a successful forum, and I think some people don't understand that.

exactly, arguments happen, in real life and on the internet, the only reason it seems worse on the internet is because its more open, and people arent afraid to say what they really think, in the real world you can lose respect for feeling a certain way about a certain subject, on the internet if you lose the respect of someone you can go find someone else

also in my experience people are quicker to forgive and forget on the internet

there is absolutely nothing wrong with debating a point, it stimulates the mind (if you do it properly) because you dont just look at someones post and say the exact opposite, you have to explain why you believe theyre wrong, find evidence to back you up if your point is more than just personal opinion

as for what i think about people on deviant art talking about us, i couldnt care less (i probably could actually..... there we go) if they want to judge us, assumedly without joining and getting to know us thats their problem, of course if they have such a problem with people having different opinions and not being afraid to argue about it then i think they should stay off the internet all together (or they could go to a forum run by the chinese government)

If some users annoy you to the nerves, you can use GreaseMonkey to make them disappear from your sight.

(Not that I have someone here GM'd. I use GreaseMonkey on someone on the other forum I go to.)

Anyways, to me, I just joined the site because I love Spyro, and I dont meet alot of people who do. Although I have noticed some party poopers that ruin it for me..>_<

Right now, there are no real reasons to say that this forum is falling apart. I've seen forums fall apart and Spyroforum is not one of them. The amount of spammers will increase as the amount of members increase. If you really want to stop these members, there are two solutions: 1.) Crack down on the spammers and rule-breakers 2.) Elect more mods to make things more organized. (I'm not saying that the current mods are doing a bad job, they're great but it gets harder and harder to moderate things when as the forum grows)

Right now, Spyroforum isn't in any real trouble and the problems that arise should be dealt with by the administration.

The LOCKING of the thread "the fight between old and new" (for one) was the bad thing that happened on this forum, not the debating, the topic was a discussion topic.

I'm getting really sick of these people saying things like "If you dont like the new games, dont buy them" too!

(I'm not Spanish or Mexican, I just know how to speak a little Spanish. I had to mispell it so it wouldn't be changed to English)

The only problem is, whenever a "debate" thread is opened, it starts a flamewar. Until members can learn to deal with their problems maturely, all threads that show signs of a flamewar should be closed. The problem is, a lot of people on here don't know how to deal with their problems without using personal insults.

If someone has their settings to English, it will appear in English. If someone has their settings to French, it becomes French. That's how it is on other sites.

i dont think anyone was starting anything, frankly i found doppels post quite funny, all it needs is a pic of the different spyro's on either side staring at each other
