German language

Ok - First you'll ask yourselfs: what will you write in this topic?
But first of all - I'm from Austria, so I'm speaking german. I think you've seen , that I'm not very well at writing english, (make mistaces, don't know how to explain things,...) but this spyro forum is much better than the german  one (really...).
So, now to the real topic...more or less^^
If you want to know something about Austria ore Germain, if you want that I should translate you something from english to german or if you're able to speak/write a little bit german, then you are on the right place here^^.
I didn't open this topic, to tell you "how good I'm", no - I think it's only intresting to hear something about other languages, and here you've got the possibility to.
wink

Re: German language

Well I would just like to congratulate you for managing to learn a WHOLE another language. Since my parents are Italian, I'm learning to speak Italian, but's hard for me to put it in proper sentences. My cousin in Italy who's 10 now, 8 last I visited can speak in English sentences, I was amazed. So congratulations who can speak 2+ languages.(claps hand).

Ah Everythings back to normal.

Re: German language

Thanks^^ - but I think it wasn't/isn't so hard for me to learn english - it's a quite easy language.
But back to topic now....^^

Re: German language

Really, my R.E(religion) teacher last year said that English is one of the most hardest languages to learn (Chinese Mandrian being the hardest).

Re: German language

At school we learn french and they are a real funny bunch!

They have genders!

Also I am a singer and I have had to sing songs in...

Broad Scottish, German, Japaneese, English, Latin but never Italian... I will have to do something about that!

Re: German language

Nice. I speak English, Spanish, and Latin. I've always wanted to learn how to speak German.

Okay, Cyril, I'm in some online gaming clans, and I've always wanted to know the following in German:

"Welcome to the clan."

Re: German language

tis a good song^_^

full translation of the song

german:

Leiser, leiser, kleine Laute,
Flüstre was ich dir vertraute,
Dort zu jenem Fenster hin!
Wie die Wellen sanfter Lüfte,
Mondenglanz und Blumendüfte,
Send es der Gebieterin!

Neidisch sind des Nachbars Söhne,
Und im Fenster jener Schöne
Flimmert noch ein einsam Licht.
Drum noch leiser, kleine Laute;
Dich vernehme die Vertraute,
Nachbarn aber, Nachbarn nicht!

English:

More softly, more softly, little lute,
whisper what I have confided
to that window there!
Like a gentle billow of air,
like moonlight, or the scent of flowers,
send it to my mistress!

The sons of the neighbours are jealous
and in the window of my fair one
a solitary light still gleams.
So play still softer, little lute,
so that my beloved may hear you
but the neighbours - not the neighbours!

to show off

Dutch:

Zachter, zachter, luitje lieve,
Zacht mijn boodschap overbrieven,
Fluist'rend bij dat gindse raam!
Een boeketje zoete klanken,
Maneschijn en bloemenranken
Moet je brengen in mijn naam!

Houd je stil voor buurmans zonen,
Maar verover wel die schone
Die daar woont bij 't eenzaam licht.
Luitje, speel dus nog wat zachter,
Dan komt buurman er niet achter,
Maar alleen dat lieve wicht!

okay so I got the dutch off the internet. ^_^
