All I know is that if you have a pirated copy, you get Super Bonus Round unlocked earlier for some reason. (I had the Hong Kong version)

Well, not unless you use a gameshark to go to the island there. Also, if you make a left at the rocket entrance and climb up the stairs, at a certain spot you will hear a cricket chirping. It doesn't appear anywhere else, so I believe the cricket noise would count as a glitch. Another pirated copy glitch is that when you get to Midnight mountain and go back to the ship, the worlds go missing in the menu!! All that's left are the bosses and Sunrise spring home.
