The time I met her was in Madison, Wisconsin when she was the honorary speaker for the ninth annual Charlotte Zolotow (another author) lecture. Around thirty minutes before that would begin, she had another engagement across the street. It was a wine and snack cakes gathering. I had been allowed entrance because I was with our librarian who was a member of the society hosting the party (the CCBC). When she arrived, you must have gone and conducted a meet-and-greet but I was not aware of this. The first time I saw her was when she were out in a hall, so my librarian and I came to greet her. She was quite abrasive. She had little to say and acted as if we were overtly audacious to speak to her. She put
on her coat and left after barely saying a sentence or two to us. I will never forget this. I have met several authors in my childhood and all of them have been kind, down-to-earth and highly gracious people. She was the only author I've ever met who's been so seemingly high and mighty.
I thought I was alone in having had this experience until I came online and found other readers of her work who shared similar stories of meeting her and finding themselves taken aback by her harsh personality.

My mom met George Segal once at King's Dominion when she was a teenager. And my cousin's friend met Mitchel Musso at the mall once too!

Supposedly I met most of my celebrities when I was a baby or toddler. Uhh, Kristy Yamahguchi I think is a Olympic figure skater whom I met when I was small I think. And of course Wayne Gretzsky as well.

Last year I missed the chance to see Brad Pitt/Angeline Jolie when they were filming a movie at a mall.

Not an actual celebraty, but my science teacher met J/Geoff Corrwin before he got famous. XD Appearently, he's actually kinda snotty off-camera. O_o

I've met tons of big sports players. That's no surprise though since I live not far from Atlanta.
I've also met Mr. McSteamy from Grey's Anatomy at the mall. My sister did most of the talking though. Go figure ... It was funny though. He asked her if she was married. :-P
Other than that, I've met a few big time music composers.

Oh. The famous boxer Evander Holyfield lives about 5 minutes away from me. I used to teach and mentor one of his kids back when I used to take Tae Kwon Do. He's a very nice man. His kids are cool too. smile

I met Kirsten Dunst, Toby Mcguire, Willem Defoe and Ian Bryce when I did the first Spider Man. And I met Jennifer Lopez when I did Maid in Manhattan.
They were both minor background parts but I got a good lasting friendship with Ian out of it. cool

What about autographs? i got a VERY rare one that will be never made again, linda mcartney's autograph! she draws a big daisy in it, oh yeah i have pauls as well but is worth about... only Â£2,500, not as much as linda's that's worth a lot more i don't know but i guess it's about Â£3000 maybe.
