Re: School

They shouldn't go to collage! Then I would have to put up with boring teachers and fun teachers is about the only good thing about collage! Lol

Spelling is too worried about, Physics you will probably not need much of in real life, but some jobs require it, but if your not going to do a job that does well yeah, its pretty useless.

That was one of the most thoughtless comments I've heard in a long while.

Re: School

BOT... boring teachers are mainly boring because what they are teaching is boring, their tone can be boring as well but if they had boring tone but did fun, enjoyable or interesting work, they will still be classified as fun teachers. It also depends on how they teach, like for example do they crack jokes or do they let you talk while you are doing work. In my opinion, some teachers are too strict and boring, mainly either because that their boss had made them be like that, or they are just too stressed.

Re: School

My history teacher was the best teacher ever. We got like 2-4 movies per week. My last exam on history was a flat 100% because I like that.

Yes.... But on Math I prefer walkthroughs. Good thing my teacher does that.

Re: School

I have heard that you americans get the whole 3 months of summer for your holidays, you should be really grateful for that, that is why you get things done like becoming a good drawer or annimation or something.

Re: School

Well... I have not experienced the summer vacation in Canada... Yet... Because I migrated to Canada from the Philippines on August 28, 2007.

We took a 6 month long vacation when we made the big move (March to September). Of course it wasn't all fun and games, we have to sell the cars, sell the house, give away our pets (I miss the doggies) and say goodbye to all my friends. Not to mention the very tedious medical exam. (Needles! Oh no!)

Re: School

Whoops...

Anyway, why so short? Out of 52 weeks in a year, you only get 11 weeks off?

Re: School

that is true. including the 104 days of weekends, that adds up to 159 days free, + about 5 public holidays and thats 164... So that means 366-164= 202 days of school a year, GEEZ! and to think we have to spend our time buying books, doing homework, getting ready for school, buying stationary and all that, it adds up to alot of time for something which is not neccesarily needed. and for 13 years!!!! thats 1/6 of your life!!!

Presumably more if you factor in the post secondaries BUT....

That's 1/6th! Only 1/6th! 16.67%! That small!

You see, we can find something positive here. Why not spend 16.67% of your life in slow, repetitive and tiring school and then when you grow up and having a good job, 83.33% is being free! Perfect!

Re: School

so your saying spend 13 years of your life in misery for almost no reasonand then be happy? i dont think that is fair, at all. 16.67% is still big. Immagine if you got 16.67% of your life taken away, you'd be *bleep*ed, or 16.67% of your money, or food, or anything.
