Some times i wonder if they force you to go to school just to see if you can stay sane enough threw all those years or if u break and they can thenmark you as a person that they need to keep an eye on. Or sometimes i wonder if they force you to go just so that they drain ever last ounce of your energy all the time just so they could brain wash us easyer.

Don't judge how smart you are by a number. IQ #'s mean bull.

btw Ratchet: spelling and grammar just makes you sound more intelligent in general. I know that it shouldn't really matter much in forums and other friendly conversations (via computer, letter, etc.) but tell that to any employer lol. I personally don't care too much.

We dont learn spelling and grammer anymore in school, and i understand that picky employees want good spellers. I hope i run my own company in the future, or atleast have friends who respect my spelling. But i can't be too sure.
I see what you mean by IQ, but rather smart people DO have great IQs. My adult IQ is 139, i havn't ever done an Age equivelent IQ test, if there is one.
Back to spelling, please dont judge it by my intelligence.

Ooh, yeah. You definitely shouldn't judge people by spelling. That's like judging someone on their style, or really anything for that matter. Can't be too quick to judge people now.

No, you can't judge someone solely on spelling, but remember, first impressions come first. A lot of people will think otherwise, simply because you didn't take the time to press the backspace button a few times and retype the word right - and it's easy to get the wrong impression since the internet is such an impersonal place. So it IS important to spell right generally on forums and irl. The exception would be stuff like chatrooms. In those places, people care less about that, and it's easier to tell if you're misspelling deliberately/for fun. But as a rule of thumb, try to sound intelligent, because constant misspellings will NOT make you sound like one.

we cant play games at our school, the amount of websitesunblocked are very limited and we are not alowed to bring things from home anyway. Besides, the amount of free computers is limited, the teacher is always watching and we cant really play games during class.

And here we are.. the moment you have all been waiting for.... RCR SCHOOL STYLE.... OK, most of the stuff i will post you have heard before, but just so you can fully see everything i have said... anyway...

1."We need school because without it we couldn't read, write or spell"
I fully agree with you there, those basic things are needed in school, as well as some handwriting practice if needed, and some basic-intermidiate maths, all the rest should be chosen by yourself.

2."We can improve socially"
I agree, we should work together, this aspect should stay in schools (even though some wish that they could work individually due to the idiots in there school), didn't say anything about abolishing the school system
altogether did I?

3."the different subjects give us an idea of what we want to be when we are older"
WEll hey, i hate maths, i guess i wont be anything to do with maths, i hate Reading novels, guess i wont do any jobs around reading novels. Yes, i am being sarcastic, just because you like/dislike a subject in highschool, doesn't mean you will like/dislike the job around it. Take maths for an example, i loved it whe i was younger, but as the maths grouds dropped in to our curriculum, i hated it, because it made it a chore. This is what school does, it turns things into something i hate, i get really high marks in maths though, so no problem there, i just hate it. Bu i hate it how we waist all this time on some subjects, yet never find out why we need it.

4."you'll understand the education fully when you are older"
WHY? Why not now, i recon that many adults just dont ralk about it because they are happy it is over. sayingthat it helps us is one things, but when we are smach in it, it huts, and doesn't feel like it helps.

5."Without an education, you will not be able to get a good job"
I KNow that, i am not dumb, but do i think that that is right? I recon that the School certificate system is wrong itself, some jobs have nothing to do with school or only a small part, i know that you need to go through school to do college, but i dont think that is fair anyway.

6."You are a bad speller, that wont go well with employees"
Yes, that is true, and i think that any employee who thinks that is a big idiot, anyone who judges by spelling is an idiot who should get a life.

heres the post in page 5 which sums it all up, or atlest most of it.

you dont get what i am trying to say, do you. am SAYING that the education system is wrong that we need these HSC diplomas and a UAI to do jobs, they do not Prove that you are smart in that job, it just proves that you study well and are good in a few subjects, and ones that maybe totaly unrelated to your job.
i KNOW that if i quit now that getting into Uni or any job would be really hard, i am complaining about the education system in general.
You may say that "You need a broad education" well frankly, WE DONT! it may give us an idea for different jobs and may help us with these jobs but i have 2 things to say about that...
1.This "broad education" Should not be compalsary
2.We can learn this stuff when we take th cource for these jobs anyway

I am not SAying that Education is pointless, we DO need to learn reading, writing, handwriting (kinda), Arithmatic, muliplication/division, graphs. And the rest should be optional.

I don't like Physics.... I got an E in the first part of my AS levels as well as a rather disappointing C in Geology..... I got a B in Chemistry though and I'm re-sitting all of them..... Bloomin collage, its a pain.
