It was not in the game at all, it was one of those videos advertising the game, just like the Crash of the Titans promo video (where it takes place in a market of some sort)

Interestingly enough, the attack string Spyro uses on Gaul looks kinda like the Dark Spyro Flurry Rush (Special Melee) in slower motion, doesn't it?

That cutscene totally *bleep* because Spyro here looked WORSE than the Spyro in the original series 
. And plus, Cynder didn't look right, and not in the hot, cute, or adorable way .

Hmm, my friend showed me this a while ago. Surprising it wasn't in the game in some form, seeing as the whole time spent in the Temple after ANB is a blank otherwise.

Yeah Spyro looking friendly and serious guy for these legend trilogy but before trilogy he was more like "i ll kill you after this" ányway this was great scene thanks!

I'm amazed that I am just now discovering this. At, first I thought they were cutscenes from TEN on the Wii version, since it was the only 7th gen. used from Spyro game release.

Yeah, it's just a promo and wasn't intended for the game. There is a promo video for Sonic Unleashed with Sonic and *cringe* Chip in a ghost cartoon parody (might still be on the Nintendo Channel on Wii). I'm sure there will be more games continuing the trend.
