ok, i made this topic to see what people on spyroforums think. is the ps3 up to par with the xbox 360? will in time, be as good as ps1, ps2? or will it be a total failure. heres my take. everyone says, oh 360 has so many more games then ps3 so it is better, its also cheaper, well heres a video for you. http://youtube.com/watch?v=hjYxefEAcyE and games, of course 360 has more games then ps3 cause its been out a whole year, what did 360 have in its first 8 months?..... perfect dark zero, oblivion, halo commercial.... ps3, mototrstorm, resistence fall of man. soon lair, killzone 2, rac:tod , warhawk etc. ps3 is a great console don't ya think. if not tell why, and omg!!! ps3 is too expensive it sucks!!! doesnt count, please give your opinion.

It's really still the beginning the PS3. Eventually, the price will go down and even more games will come out. It should get better.

Xbox360 sux more because all have been given a recall (over 10 million to be exact) because of possible hardware failure the [shadow=red:57a2813c5b]Red Ring of Death[/shadow:57a2813c5b] is the culprit behind this.

like i said before chickmagnet, i you hate the ps3, say why. ps3 is a year behind ms. in a few weeks to months, sony will begin to out sell 360. dont get me wrong, i love my 360, but ps3, will sell more WHEN THE PRICE IS DROPPED,

360 elite- $479
ps3- $499
this holiday season it probably will be dropped again.

I think the biggest factor in the PS3's large price is the blue-ray player. If they didn't have that it would be $300 or less!

only thing is loneknight, without blu-ray ps3's graphics would be as nearly as good, see ps3 uses blu ray discs to play games, not just for movies.

I appreciate the PS3's graphic power, but for me it's too early to consider getting one.
Firstly, there's not a lot of games that are taking my interest so far; the only game I've got a keen eye for at the moment is Ratchet & Clank Future.
Secondly, there's the price but I'm sure that'll be sorted in time.
And thirdly, I'm in Europe where the backwards compatability is disappointing in comparison to American regions; according to the list of what games can be played back I can't even play half my games on it. That list includes Crash Twinsanity, Beyond Good and Evil, most of the Jak and Ratchet & Clank titles (save for Jak 2) and the original Kingdom Hearts. That needs to be seriously looked into in my point of view.

All consoles SUX.

Get a PC. I've played and tested "Brothers in Arms" for both PC and PS2, I recommended PC is best than PS2. Xbox and X360 are already same PC version, that stupid. PS3 can't save old PS2 and PS games. X360 can't too.

Well do you mean the new 80gb ps3? It cant play ps1 or ps2 games so it cant save them, but the 60gb can, ask your friend what kind of ps3 he has.

The PS3 had an update so it could play PS1 games. It didn't before if you didn't know. Not that I'm gonna buy one. I have a PS2 and an Xbox 360 and that suits me just fine.
